My son and I were walking through the parking lot of our local grocery store when I came across this little gem. The Saturday Night Fever theme song burst out of my mouth when I picked it up. It’s nice to see that the seventies are alive and well (and misspelled).

When you live in a neighborhood that is always under construction, you find that people will use the construction dumpsters for their own stuff. I found this in a box of photos along with all sorts of personal stuff. Most of it looks as if it was dumped after cleaning out the attic.

Found at the Lavaca St. Bar in downtown Austin near midnight on July 4th, 2009. The bar has a photo booth where patrons can get in and take silly photos, this was sitting on a table next to the photo booth.

A Dream Deferred

This was on the back of one of the bills given to me as change this morning. It makes me sad to think of some kid having to use the money they were saving toward their trip to the magic kingdom for other stuff.
