Thomas must be her crush. I remember writing/getting notes out of boredom in class, but not quite as manic as this one. We were of the letter-writing generation, not the manic email soundbyte “everything is everywhere all at once” culture. When writing them we thought we were being so funny and clever. Reading them from the distance of Not Being There At The Time, they were just silly. This one is…wow.

I’m thinking that we can’t blame the economy if either of these two don’t get jobs when they leave college.

Medication, girl. It can be your friend.

That is “… if neither of these two get jobs …” (same concept, but reads better this way)

Are university students getting more immature…? This looks like something I might find in my high school. Maybe written by someone in 9th or 10th grade. It is a beautiful-to-look-at note, however. Another rational for keep art in our schools. This author must be a frustrated artist. Forced to sit through a math class or something equally useless to the artist’s soul.

Could be written by a freshman…high school was just a summer away. That being said, I know some women in their late 30s who still seem to be mentally in middle school. Their reactions to anything different to what they like show that they are still sitting at “the cool kids’ table” in the lunchroom of their minds.

As juvenile as this note is, I wish I could write out my stream of consciousness as well as she.

I can’t imagine a male human being writing this down. Based on that same principle, I can’t imagine this person or possibly the person to whom this was written to is even doing well.

but… how can she be excited about beating App State? It was a sad day for me…

This was written after Sept. 21, 2008 as that was when James Madison defeated App State 35-32. The excitement is that App State was 3 time defending Div. 1-AA National Champions at that point. I hope this is not Thomas writing this note as it is very girly. Maybe Thomas is someone she has a crush on or is dating.
