I found this in the parking lot outside a local gym a half block from my home. It was away from the cars in the centre of the lot and yet envelope doesn’t have a mark on it, like it just floated from the sky rather than blowing off a windshield or something. It was sealed, and had ‘Michael’ scrawled across it in beautiful handwriting. It has no address and no way of ever being able to be returned, so I opened it.

I volunteer at a food co-op in the North End. A few months back, when I was opening up, I found this pushed through the mailslot. It’s written on the back of a marker package. I posted it on the bulletin board, inconspicuously, until it fell down and I took it home. Now it lives on my bulletin board.
