Saint Madonna

Found stuck to a post at 4th and Grand in downtown. I saw three or four other cards like this but only on that block of 4th Street.

God Speed

Living off 242nd Street, I spend a lot of time on the 1 train. Recently, I was coming back uptown when this popped out at me. It was slid into the plastic covers of the overhead advertisements.

Shabbat Shalom!

I found this at the Public Library during an all-day study session. This appears to be the beginnings a Bar/Bat Mitzvah speech written by a girl (judging by the stationary and handwriting) from the local Jewish Congregation.

Kind Soul

This is one part of a double-sided letter between two friends, found on the floor in my Hebrew class. Each side seems to be responding to the other, though I can’t tell what order it’s in.

Happy Jew Year

Found this in the recycling bin. It’s the end of a speech this girl wrote for the Jewish club.

Put on Your Big Boy Pants

Someone noticed a swastika drawing on my brother’s desk, which he did not draw. They decided to anonymously leave this note on his desk. This prompted my brother to address the whole class saying that he didn’t do the drawing and he isn’t racist. No one ever admitted to writing the note.
