I was walking home this morning and I found this picture on the curbside a few days before Halloween. It is only about 2 x 3.5 inches. I think it was a sticker photo that got left out in the rain. I imagine that it must have slipped out of someone’s pocket when they were bringing in the groceries. I love how the layers of film are pealing away. The picture is great too.
I was waiting for my sister, who was at the DMV. I took a walk down Main Street and on my way back I saw this photograph on the ground. It hadn’t been there 15 minutes earlier. On the back it is dated 1977. It sure looks it, too.
My mom and I returned to her house after shopping one day to find this photo lying upside down quite neatly on the wooden border of her garden. The back reads “to Elena, my best friend in the whole world Becca ’79′ .” My folks have lived in that house since 1983 and raised all three of us girls there, and we have known most of our neighbors. Nevertheless, Mom and I racked our brains for a neighbor that looked anything like this girl or was named Elena or Becca and couldn’t come up with anyone that would fit.

Today as I was leaving the mall I felt extremely thirsty so I stopped at a vending machine in the parking deck of the mall. As I reached down to get my soda I noticed this paper folded inside the soda retrieval area. It made my day.

There’s a used furniture place under a railway bridge near my house. When I went to buy a desk, the shop was closed. So I had a look around the car park out the front and found this picture amongst the stones. She looks strong and confident.
