One day early last summer I was walking through the breezeway that leads to the exterior stairs of the apartment building in which I live in Moraga CA. On the tile floor of the breezeway I found this note. From the presence of the piece of tape that was still attached to it I presume it had originally been placed on the front door of the apartment below mine. Moraga is home to St. Mary’s College of California and over the years many St. Mary’s students have lived in the building with roommates for the school year and then moved on to other living situations. This note seems to offer a view into a roommate situation that apparently had a less than happy ending.
