A co-workers boyfriend found a disposable camera; after getting the film developed he sent the photos to his girlfriend in a care package. She let me keep the negatives.

I spotted this find more than a year ago on the sidewalk outside my house and it’s been sitting in my living room ever since. The thing that struck me is that this is far from your ordinary missing pet flier. First, there’s no photo…then again, it makes perfect sense, all black cats pretty much look the same. And the care at which the owner took to detail the cat’s uniqueness was genius. The tail with the distinctive curve. The extra toes. His yellow eyes and torn ear. I never did see Fig but I can only hope that someone did and he made his way home.

I found this letter on the sidewalk down the street from my son’s elementary school during my Morning Prayer walk. It’s a letter from a child who wants reconciliation with his family and has a strong desire to feel the love that only his family can give to him.

I manage some apartments. One night the garbage was overflowing with a plastic bag full of Coke cans. When I opened the bag this “Action List” was inside. Two things strike me as funny. The first is that getting a job is more important than getting off heroin. And second, besides a dozen empty Coke cans there were two empty half gallon jugs of chocolate milk. What happened to number nine?

Found in a box full of fire damaged goods donated to Goodwill. In 1992, there was a fire at my apartment. Everything was damaged, and I gave it all to Goodwill to see if they could salvage anything. Years later, in 1999, after going through four peoples’ hands, a friend of mine showed me this pic and said it looked a lot like me and well, it IS me (!) and Nancy Wilson in Vancouver back in 1979. I just about cried when I saw it. A lost memory returns! It’s the only remaining picture I have of my two years as a roadie for Heart!
