The Pros and Cons of Candy

On Halloween my house gets a lot of trick-or-treaters. A LOT. This year we estimate that about 1,200 kids came by our house. When cleaning up after Halloween I found this note on the floor on a crumpled 3×5 card. Perhaps this was dropped by one of the moms?

Kelly Clarkson (5:02PM)

I found this on the desk of one of the interns at my office. In all honesty I have no idea what this could possibly mean.

Don’t I Look Ambitious

Stopping and browsing at a local yard sale about a year ago, I picked up a copy of Alcoholics Anonymous and found the attached photo. It was probably taken overseas during World War II. Nursing Rudolph

This image was found when I picked up a book at a used book store.

A crinkled up note I found a half block away from my home in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. It seemed to have been put on the windshield of a car and then discarded. We couldn’t quite decide on what “they” could be, except that maybe they were breast implants. And the Spaghetti Factory seems like … Continued

Nectarine Pancakes

I found this in a used bookstore, between the pages of a 1970s edition of Henry James’ “The Ambassadors.”
