In a Bald Mood

I picture the person who lost this as an old hippie with wispy, shoulder-length gray hair who laments the loss of his youth and hair.

Picnic!

Had to wait 30 minutes for my doctor to see me, but it was worth it when I found this torn photo in the waiting room.

Podiatrists Must Flourish

I found this stuffed in a small wooden shoe inherited from my mother’s side of the family. I wonder why the author bothered to explain that the shoes “mean absolutely nothing.” Should they mean something?

Ladies’ Man

I found this treasure walking in the Potrero area of San Francisco. It was at the corner of Harrison and 24th.  My friends and I find it totally charming and hilarious. We’re laying bets on the era it’s from.

Animal Greetings

I found this random message on a piece of paper with a cat photo (cut out of a newspaper or magazine) pasted onto it, apparently, from someone’s sweet mother

But I Loved Your Bed

I was out on a walk during lunch and found this note on the sidewalk, blowing in the breeze at the corner of Drumm & Sacramento.

Nail File

I was walking home from the gym down Haight Street in the morning and this photo caught my eye. The woman in the foreground was pointing at me, so naturally I picked it up. I love the energy of this image. I’m not sure if they are singing or what but it looks like a … Continued

Brainiac

Found this here in a pile of old files waiting to be discarded here at UCSF where I work. And yes, I do believe (given where I found this) that that is a real brain.
