Dangerous Glamour

FOUND by Andrew Killmeier in 1st Street and Berendo, Los Angeles, California

I found these negatives on the sidewalk in front of my building. There were several pages leading in a row down the street, but I took only two. There were also some full body shots in which the model is holding two pistols with silencers and her hair is waving around, but that page didn’t scan so well. I’m assuming the negatives were discarded by a thief, or perhaps by the actual photographer. Ah, sometimes I love living in Los Angeles. Sometimes.

Gracey

FOUND by Martina Pomeroy in Virginia

I bought a pair of navy blue pants in the little boy’s department (I’m very petite) at a thrift store. The pants had a label on the back that said “Gracey.” When I got home and tried them on I found a picture in the back pocket- a snapshot of a woman wearing a uniform with a “Gracey” patch sewn on.

8mm

8mm

FOUND by Stephen Wooding in Salt Lake City, Utah

I was digging in my garden and found a little scrap of 8mm film caught in some roots, so I scanned it. The film contains about five frames of a home movie on Christmas morning. Two children are in the frames, a little boy and a little girl, and a decorated Christmas tree is visible behind them. The boy (on the left) seems to be holding something up for the camera (hopefully a GI Joe!). The girl (on the right) seems to have a large doll, which is sitting next to her. I wonder if these people used to live in my house.
