I found this buried under some sand at the beach. I was really looking for a lens that fell out of my glasses, but instead found this enigmatic note. I’m sure what’s meant by “the computer said you would be born…” but it’s a really moving letter. I wonder if it was lost or if it was left in the sand on purpose.

I’m a Greyhound bus driver in British Columbia. We often find things left behind by passengers, most of it quite literally trash. Sometimes we find notebooks or sketch pads, and I usually try to find the owner; but, other times, there’s really nothing that can be done beyond tossing the item into the Lost and Found. I found this letter in a “pup,” one of those little trailers that are pulled behind Greyhound buses across the country. You can see that it was sitting in some mud or slush on the floor of the trailer. It seems the note must have somehow fallen out of a parcel.
