A Good Heart

While on a walk I noticed a small folded piece of paper sticking up from the grass with “READ” printed on it in a demanding fashion.

It Saddens Me

I found this in a copy of the book “The Bridges of Madison County” that I bought at a yard sale. The mom in that book had a romantic rendezvous when her kids were out of town.

Lost Skunk

My husband found this laminated flier hanging up on the campus of Ball State University. This same picture with more details was posted in the classifieds section of the Muncie Star Press under Lost & Found. The owners must have really cared for their pet skunk as they apparently had its picture taken professionally. I … Continued

Moral Inventory

I found this note while walking to the El on the way to a job interview early in the morning. Wish I could read this person’s poetic interpretations of the other ten steps!

A Little Off The Sides

Had the back doors open of our recently purchased used car and were standing, waiting to load an item when Richard reaches in and plucks out from under the back seat: a folded note addressing the former owner. We’ve been pondering the identity of the writer and the content ever since.

Blocks of Scariness

Hubby and I go to the ZigZag Inn a lot for pizza; we’re locals. Lots of tourists and skiers and such come through there on their way up to Mt. Hood. We found this note folded and inserted into the Keno card-holder on the table. The back of the note looks like it’s torn from … Continued

I’m Not Crazy

Found this cryptic message and picture under a bridge on Tramway. It’s written on the front of what appears to be a really old Radio Shack receipt (judging by the warranty/return information printed on the back). The picture was attached to the message in pretty much the same place. The material of the picture makes … Continued

Give You “a” Call

We found this late one night after walking back from the Planetarium area of the lakefront. We were walking through the pedestrian and bicycle underpass and saw it, handwritten side up.

Dear Nathan

I found this in a pile of cards in a suburb of St. Louis.

Need Your Help About A Unicycle

These signs were posted all over the campus of Grand Valley State University last year. Every single one was hand-written in the same distinct handwriting. I wanted to snag one of the signs right away, but I couldn’t bare the thought of this person not finding their unicycle because I had taken down one of … Continued
