While on a walk I noticed a small folded piece of paper sticking up from the grass with “READ” printed on it in a demanding fashion.

Found this the day I moved into my new apartment. It landed in front of my door. Seems like whoever wrote it was in a huge hurry or has very demanding cats.
I came across this on the sidewalk of the 16th Street Mall.
My friend and I were riding bikes and wound up riding by this dumpster on the corner of 25th Ave & Ogden with tons of stuff overflowing out of it and boxes and boxes next to it.
Found in a house that once belonged to Thomas Hornsby Ferril, the late poet laureate of Denver. Writing classes and workshops are now held in the building, but in the basement boxes of forgotten items line the walls. I found this in one of my old purses. My youngest wrote it to me. Apparently she hid it there with high hopes I would find it. It’s been at least a year and half since I used that purse. Sad.
Found this while cleaning out a respond-to-the-art journal in the Denver Art Museum. At first it made my blood run cold, but on reflection I suppose I can empathize with that buzz of heightened self-awareness that follows an experience that just might change everything (but before it actually has).
