I was exhausted from driving all night from Vermont to Maine to get in line to, hopefully, nab a campsite. Hadn’t brought and firewood as I wanted to try to get a place to rest my weary bones first. I did secure a site and put up my tent, which took longer than usual because of my tiredness. As I was getting ready to head out and buy firewood, I look on the picnic table and see this note. It made me laugh and warmed me. I want to send out a big thank you to the person who left this note and the wood.

FOUND by Joe in Bonner Hall, Kutztown University, Kutztown, Pennsylvania

I work for my university to check-in and check-out camps from a dorm during the summer. We have to go through each room of the building to find lost items. We had just checked-out a christian camp and our building had all girls– no boys allowed. I found this note stuffed and folded in the top drawer; I suppose it was never sent.

I found this old letter a while ago while searching through old recipes. Since there’s no date on this letter, it’s hard to tell when he wrote it. It’s also funny because, since he wrote it on the last day (not considering how long the mail takes), I know he didn’t write that letter because he wanted to be picked up (otherwise he’d have written it sooner).
