I found this little sucker on a restaurant’s bookshelves. There were a bunch of other books on the walls, but the bright blue of this book caught my attention. I grabbed it and discovered it was a journal. When the waiter came to my table, I asked him if it was okay if I took it. He said it was completely fine and told me the book I was holding had been there since he started working at the restaurant (over a year).

I found this when I was moving out of my old apartment. I discovered a grungy couch on the opposite side of the building, like somebody had moved out but didn’t have enough room for all of their stuff. I imagined two adolescents passing “grown up” notes while sitting on that grungy couch, wondering what being in love feels like.

This was torn in pieces, found on our porch in the cup holder of our camping chair. It took a while to figure out what and who the note was intended for, but a neighbor girl obviously was quite upset about not getting a cupcake. We guess she abandoned the plan to deliver it, maybe because of the “overly harsh” language in the note. haha!

A friend of my brother stumbled upon this note.

My boss and I were traveling to an outdoor trade show and he found the list atop the check-in kiosk for Delta in our hometown of Portland, Maine.

Found inside an old envelope which also contained a certificate of promotion from Primary level Sunday school.

There are always an abundance of found treasures in foreclosures if you’re lucky enough to be in reclamation, or the cleaning part the precedes.

I found this among a thrown-out collection of 1990s CDs.

Found this one outside a high school a few months ago. I’m still trying to find those twins, though.

I discovered this under the seat of a car I bought recently. It was sandwiched in a patty of sticky pennies, hair, petrified french fries, and bubble gum wrappers. It was about to hit the trash can, but I noticed the line, “Keep your mullet shining and we’ll all rejoice…” and I knew I had something worthwhile on my hands, along with a gummy coating of vintage Dr. Pepper sludge.
