We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Typical girl. Just like every one I've known / loved.
Funny as hell though! ;-)
I love this! sort of breaks the cliche. and the heart seeping through - cute. But why the jeniffer S? why does she need to put the initial there?
i would love to know why the heart is upside down over the D.... wait... maybe it bled through from the other side when the not was folded and delievered. i love the disclaimer though. "unless you get on my nerves."
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone in the FOUND family!! We love you so much, and appreciate that you are part of this wonderful community. You could never get on our nerves! Thanks for reading; thanks for finding. Have a lovely day!
XOXO
She must have got on his nerves!
Reminds me of my breakup last month!
sweet yet it's missing "you can buy me a gift to make up for getting on my nerves!!"
Lovely note. Just imagine Dolly Parton singing something like that: "I will always love you... unless you get on my nerves again like you did yesterday when you forgot to put out the trash." Now that would be a smash hit!
Awesome! I think I'll write that on a card for my friends. "I love you and always will unless you get on my nerves." XD
Had the courage to put into words what most of us could never bring ourselves to say.
Jennifer for president!
How funny!! Haven't we all thought that at some point in time? She just put voice to it!
I wish I had someone to get on my nerves this Valentine's Day, its sad I know.
Hey, there's something to be said for honesty.
Isn't this what we all mean most of the time?
I think it's perfect!
uh oh! looks lik there is some potential that he already HAS gotten on her nerves.... better not have done it again
what a constant, secure feeling he must have gotten when he read this
....i would have thrown it on the ground too....
Perfect! Who can't relate to that? See should write for Hallmark.
spoken from the heart.
It's funny that she included her last initial in her name.
This is awesome! I would send a Valentine like that~ I wish I had...you've got to keep people on their toes!
that's hilarious! isn't that what we all really want to say!? ;P too funny! happy V day!
its a bit of an odd valentine i love you and always will unless you get on my nerves? i mean i might feel that way but would i really write it on a valentine? i guess that just the type of relationship they had/have
That is a cute find , but what I think is funny is that you lost it in your console for a year . What else you might find under the seats , we may never know . Or the trunk !
It's a funny valentine- but why today that she must tell him or her? Why not yesterday or tomorrow? Happy Anti-Valentine's day! And no I am not single and bitter...
I just want to know why it has been folded so many times. Origami love note?
I too am wondering about Jennifer S. Is her man dating others? If so, that should get on her NERVES!
It looked like she printed a ton of them, like she was handing them out at middle school to people. I'm guessing she made up a huge batch of them, but didn't want people to have to figure out which Jennifer she was (in large classes), thus put her last initial on it. I'm also guessing that she didn't want any of the icky people she didn't like to get the feeling that maybe she did like them, so she put in the caveat of "unless you get on my nerves".
For some reason this really strikes me as a school required exchange of cards, but she didn't want to have to buy real cards. The fold lines are the same lines I used to use in middle school to fold notes.
I think a class had to exchange Valentine's, and this was Jennifer's very funny way of doing that. (Hence the "S"; every class has at least 2 - 3 Jennifers!) Yay! Jennifer for being original!
Lucky his girlfriend/wife/etc didn't find it in the car before he did. Could have been some fireworks.
Love it!!! I am "a" Jennifer S not "the" and this is something I would tell my husband, jokingly of course. This is something we say to each other all the time. I printed this out and will give this to him in his card today.
Ah...conditional love...ain't it beautiful...ha!
I love this find. It's so true in today's relationship world. I, however, pictured a girl in elementary school giving this to her "boyfriend." I thought this because she signed her name Jennifer S. All little kids seem to go through the phase of signing their last initial.....even on cards to parents. Unless, of course, it's an older girl who doesn't want their cheating boyfriend to get her mixed up with his other girlfriends named Jennifer. LOL.
LOL! I Love it! I love the impersonal tone w/the computer printed note! I love the funny conditional love & frankly, I agree w/her sentiment...ha ha
I also like the "jennifer s" ....verses "Jennifer C." who will love you no matter what or Jennifer K. who loves you only on holidays or Jennifer Y. who makes a policy of not falling in love at all...this is perfect for today! It's cute and made my day.
Hey, at least she's honest.
So I tried to fold a paper like this, and the best thing I could come up with is a big origami frog... I dunno, we used to make really little ones and hit the back end and make it hop. Anyone know what I'm talking about? This one doesn't hop very well, but I think that's what Jennifer S. was going for.
What amuses me more than the delightfully sarcastic Valentine is the fact that Paul only cleans out his console once a year.
if you have ever been a jennifer, you will understand why she has put her initial there, unfortunately there are an overabundance of us.... as for jennifer s, i think its good she can let her valentine know where he/she stands, part love note, part threat
this valentine is glorious! it's cheeky and fun and just the type of valentine i'd get a kick out of giving or receiving.
I was wondering what to write to my boyfriend on his card today. Now I know!!!
I am going to put my last initial, too. He better know who it is from.
There's something so childish and endearing about a love that's so conditional. A child can declare there love for you in one moment and condemn you in the next. Maybe this is a Valentine from one school child to another. That could also explain the "Jennifer S.' If there is more than one Jennifer in the class, the recipient needs to know which one it came from.
It looks like the folding I used to do in middle school when I could fold notes into hearts. Makes sense for a valentine, but it really is a complex folding technique! I don't think she gave it to just one person. She may have printed a bunch, folded them into a heart shape and gave them to her friends. What girl doesn't think "we can be friends until you get annoying" sometimes about her girlfriends?
Love it! Its something my husband and I would say to each other, as a joke. We love each other very much, but sometimes its fun to throw in that bit of silliness.
I'm a Jennifer S too, and couldn't have said it better! I mean really, who wants to love someone who gets on your nerves?!?
You know what they say, "The large print giveth and the small print taketh away." Except here, where the same-sized print serves both functions.
Love: conditional-style.
I think I'll cross-stitch this declaration onto a throw-pillow.
I love this find! Hehehehe... gotta love that conditional love ;o)
This is fabulous!!! Such honesty is tremendously refreshing. I would love to get a valentine like this.
I know how to fold paper hearts like that!
But it looks so much better on line paper, and folded into oragomi paper hearts.
Reminds me that me and my best friend are fighting :/
I should call her.
That's awesome.
All these comments & no one has yet to mention that Jennifer's name is printed in 3 different colors!
Yes, I love the honesty.
because really, who wants to be with someone who gets on their nerves.
I'm a 'Jennifer S' as well, and with such a common name like Jennifer, one must use the 'S' to distinguish.
I'm a fan of disclaimers, I wish I was the one who wrote this. Seems like something I would do, to type instead of write something personal.
I hope 'Jennifer S' handed this out to each of her friends.
I find it amusing that all the Jennifers who have commented say that you need to add the last initial to be distinguishable...but there have been three 'Jennifer S'es commenting on this just today.
Dear Vetta in NC,
There are actually FOUR colours in Jennifer's name. Notice the "I" is a lovely light blue.
Adorable.
this find inspired me to by a blank valentine's day card for my b.f. and tell him how I really felt about him.
not finding this one all that charming since today I am evidently the annoying one. Dorothy, the constancy and security I mostly enjoy has flown out the window, we are getting 70mph winds tonight, meet you in Oz. . .
I know just where you are, and it got better.
I agree, there are way too many Jennifer's out there now (not like when I was little).
Ahh, what honesty! When someone does get on your nerves, it really does ruin it.
(Damn work... had to wait til saturday to check the weeks finds)
ahhh...........unconditional love for ya :-)
Jesse, You were right, first it got worse, then it got better :) Thanks.
Jesse, You were right, first it got worse, then it got better :) Thanks.
Ok, my friends asked me if this was mine, and I had to think hard before answering! (not mine!) But funny as all get out!
I like how "nerves" is on its own line, almost as if it's a punchline.
