We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Wow, this looks just like one of the many notes that floated around my middle school. I love how the computer time was always spent writing and typing up things like this. Kinda sad... kinda funny.
I think most of us at some point have created our own special "roses are ___" poem.
Poor girl, it sure doesn't make me miss being a teen.
Although I have to admit I liked it. It sounds like something I would have written back in the day.
Aahh...Those were the days...I remember all of that cheezy shit like it was yesterday=)
I love this... LoL it sounds like something I would have typed up in middle school. Its sad tho, because you know that somewhere in that school there is a middle school girl trying to be all grown up and pretend that she wasn't hurt by a first love when shes probably devastated... poor girl... too bad kids don't stay kids longer...
Well done, girlfriend.
middle school! you've got to be joking! i'd had my fair share of drama but it was like; "johnny wants to hold hands with karen and not me anymore!"
at least she wasn't pregnant! am i right!
This find has made my post valentines day!
OMG!! i totally remember this poem from back when i was in like the seventh grade...love that it is still around; it's clearly making a difference in the world of 13 year old love.
Wow! Perfect lyrics for a start as hip hop Amazone! It'd make a hit!
Should have told such things to my ex-boyfriend...;)
I love it! I bet the guys face was a picture when he read that.
I must say I really like that. Glad she's getting her feelings out. I'm smiling now. Good way to start a day.
Wow, I am still facing this kind of problem as an adult. Glad it neverhappened to me in middle school.
LOL. Awesome "roses are red" variation. Made me smirk. Silly boy... XD
I like this girl ! guess what motherfucker i played you ! love it !
ah, puppy love. Rank amateurs, burning bridges and making enemys when feelings get hurt. Subltety is more effective. Sleep with his friends THEN drop the small unit line. duh.
Shocking. The things middle school (is that grades 7 & 8?) kids know... and say. Why are they talking about such adult things at such a young age? Why are they doing them?
You go girl!
I love this! Even if he did break her heart, she wasn't going to let that S.O.B. know it!
ahhh...the sweet sound of teenage drama. kinda makes you want to go back but just to look. Then again....
I LOVE this! You go girly-girl!
I have to say though....it makes me thankful those days are OVER!! Being grown up DOES have it's priveleges....one being, you never have to go to middle school again.
I love it! So funny.
Isn't love grand?????
Perfect post-Valintine's day find!
Ashley, I totally read that as "johnny wants to hold hands with the kraken." I was like, what the hell kind of school did *you* go to?!
This is a popular quote, found on a few websites. I doubt she was the original artist of this one, as I've seen it many times.
This is great - no matter where it orginated. Thought it isn't always worth the trouble, getting the last laugh is awesome!
This girl rocks!
Bah I've read this so many times throughout the years, come on people be original.
lol ... this makes me laugh
Yeah, like I never spread a rumor about an underendowed man before.....girls know revenge.
Snap!
Do you know how many times I wanted to write something like this when I was growing up? It's the ultimate revenge on a cheater.....letting him know you cheated on him too and he never knew. This was a pretty clever poem. I hope she's happier now.
Wow. I must be old at 28 because because I have never heard this poem before. My how times have changed.
This is exactly how I feel about my ex-boyfriend, James.
it has a nice rhythm to it.
I loved the way she wrote red, scribbled it and then wrote dead. Nice! It would have made for a good r&b hit.
maybe we should make kids now a days go to more english classes and less computer lab
This girl has skill. I hope she knows that she has talent and that she takes it to great heights. =]
I admit- when truly enraged/wronged, my first inclination has never been to...seek revenge through written, rhyming verse.
Not that I'm suggesting there's a right or wrong way to go about exacting it.
I hope she hasn't really seen his "dick" to know what size it is... After all, she IS in middle school. What is the world coming to? :(
LOL this is the funniest and best Find yet!
That is the most amazing thing I have ever seen! I wish I could write vengeful poetry like this!
Wow. Im pretty sure that when I was in grade 7 I was still playing with Lego. Haha, how the times have changed...
Good on you, girl! Although yes, a little bit young for boyfriends in my opinion, especially ones that treat you like that...
You Go Girl!!!!
Hey! I wrote a poem like this in the early 90s. It went, "Roses are dead, Violets have passed; Dinner I'd eat, But I've got gas."
When i was always told that if you wanted to truely get a boy back, dont write him a poem cuz its doubtful that he will actually read it.
Instead, catch him when he is with his friends and simply...look him in the face...than at his package...and then up at his face again and with a simple smirk on your face and your thumb and index finger less than an inch apart for the whole world to see! Everyone will know what you mean!
Too bad this isn't an original poem. I passed this as a chain letter in the 6th grade. I'm a third year in College now. Good to know some sayings just never get old.
Igloo Denise, I misread your post to say "Isn't love GLAND!" hahaha! guess it is at that age.
Bravo!
I could actually tell this was not her composition, as it flowed much too well and seemed obviously written by someone much older. Plus almost everything was spelled correctly and everyone knows middle schoolers can't spell.
This fucking rules!! Hell yeah!
Ahhhh, all my favorite writing peeves! "Too" incorrectly spelled as "to". Upper case where lower case should go, lower case where upper case should go. Bubble-shaped letters. The letter "y" with the funky angular hook. The words "cuz" and "u". And so much more!
I think this is a great find. Me and some girlfriends have come up with several of our own versions of "Roeses are..." about ex-boyfriends etc, but I think this one is truly the best one yet! Well done.
that's freakin' crazy....that is almost the exact same poem that i wrote, almost ten years ago, in the tenth grade...
haha! this is freaking awesome...this sounds like something that my friend wrote way back when...
Ahahaha, brilliant!
I'm impressed.
I'm 16 so I remember middle school well and I wish I had had a copy of this 4 years ago. When the guys are jerks that young, us girls have to step up to the plate. I may STILL need a copy! thanks chicka!
I like her writing. Good on her.
interesting that all comments praising the girl are from ... girls/women.
in my view they are both little asswipes that just suck
You go girl!
lol...sounds like something i would have written back in day. great way of letting her anger be heard.
Oh my gosh, I *must* be in a strange mood, because this little poem struck me as freakin' hilarious!!!! YGG!
Holy crap!! This is from '95! Thought for sure I threw this away...
:D
That's freakin' awesome! I can't belive you actually found this on here "Annie"!!! You've been published!! And btw, you know who this is!
