We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
I hate when I grab the wrong kid.
I would assume it fell off an object like a lost article of clothing, not of an actual kid! At least I hope the daycare is doing a better job than that...
That is sooo adorable and precious = ) Though a bit worrying at the same time.
It was probably a coat, or a plate that had had cake from a party or something like that.
But yes, what you think is funnier ;)
I like that. i like how some people who work with children put a kindly spin on everything.... the toy/object in question could have been put straight in "lost property", but instead they did this.
little things like this note make me very cheery- well done on a great find! =]
Thats my note! I used to work at a Day Care Centre in Paddington!
Haahaa... this is really funny. I wandered away alot as a kid... "ohhh... look, something shinny!" and as a result got lost in the local shopping mall more than once (too many kids, not enough hands so the oldest was left to NOT wander and I always did)... anyway, I can just imagine the security gaurds that found me putting a note like that on me.
It's from a lost backpack or scarf or some other item, but I agree with you - it's funnier if it was from a child... hee hee...
what if the day care teacher wrote it to the parents of a child because she was concerned? hahaha

i lost my backpack many times in daycare... i wish i had one of those :P
OMG! i swear I had that note attached to me when i was in daycare.
I used to wear a similar sign all the time, and finally my mom said, "you're not adopted, you wern't accidentally switched at birth, and we didn't kidnap you as an infant, so give it up", so I did. Still it would have been nice if they checked.
I sure hope this isn't questioning some little tykes paternity. Altho that is MUCH more entertaining than a simple scarf or coat.
i like picturing some kid writing that to their parents, just hoping...
we all went through that "i hope i didn't really come from them" stage didn't we?
The kid who had this sign safety pinned to his over-alls was flirting with me for hours. Jesus, kid! You have to buy me at least one drink before I take you home and tuck you into bed.

If your name is Randi and your a five foot blonde, then you sure as hell do! Get back in bed!
Great, just great! Now we've got a pedophile posting here. Perverted justice anyone?
I've seen that Tingle posting here before. He's not funny. Anyone else think he should be banned? Anyone?
sophie- that "stage" continues every day of my life! hehe :)
Parents, is this your piece of paper?
Aww! I think this is sweet. I worked in a school for a week for works experience and there was a wall that teachers stuck lost items e.g. scarfs, socks etc. on and there was a similar note in the middle of the wall!
You are NOT the father.
Thanks Maury.
(No one should be banned. Lighten up.)
hahaha, when I was growing up one of us would always get left behind at church cause that was about the one place where the whole family went to gether (all 8 of us plus assorted friends and dogs)
hope it wasn't a teddybear or blankie - I hate it when little kids lose their comfort objects. I hate it for both child and parent.
You guys took your dogs to church?
One time, when living in Kentucky, an evening church service was interrupted to announce that UK had won the game. Everyone cheered and then the service continued.
Random memory :p
BTW, I have an interview at a daycare this afternoon. Maybe I'll make a note like that :)
nice word Monika -
and yah - banning's over rated
Hey, I was wondering where I left that little bastard! Good thing I didn't put a deposit down on this new one yet.
I imagine that this note was attached to the door at the daycare as a gentle reminder to parents to make sure they are picking up the right child...so they don't get home before they realize they took someone else's.
There's a daycare in my hometown that leaves notes like these on carseats if different people are picking the kid up. As a babysitter, it's funny to see, but a good reminder for when you get the kid in the car!
