We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Gotta love those Stampede Brekkies.
The pancake in mid-flip--I love it! That's an action shot if I've ever seen one.
I don't really know why, but I just LOVE this picture. Something about men making pancakes makes me happy. I have fond memories of Lion's Club pancake suppers with men doing all the cooking.
I wonder if they threw any Texas-style Fritos on that grill.
Haha, Texas style Fritos. With the little grill lines on them.
Is it just me, or does that pancake look like it's gonna hit the dirt?
So Mike, what you're really saying is that you did not "find" this photo, but you "stole" it during a punk rock show. NOT cool!
Scott Nelson, if there's anything cool about punk rock, it's stealing. Haha, regardless of the source, it's a pretty damn good picture.
Hahaha Paul's comment really cracked me up. Yes it does look like its gonna "hit the dirt" and the white shirt guy looks kinda worried about it. That comment made this find for me.
this type of pancake flipping business happens every year for ten days. of all the pictures and live pancake breakfasts i have seen, this is by far the most beautiful.
One pancake is in the air mid-flip, but what's going on with the other one? White shirt's pancake looks like it's falling apart. I guess we know which one's the grill master.
Hail Flip Master! Master of the flip!
I think I know that guy from Hopkins Minnesota.
The important thing here is that we get to the part where I ask you, what bands were playing at the punk rock show where this photo was found?
I recognize the 2 Very Artistic Pancake Flippers....Both are from the Calgary Eagles (Fraternal Order Of Eagles)...They have served us their "Stampede Breakfast" at least twice @ our (FOE International Convention) in Spokane, WA.
was it the carpenters union hall in Kensongton?
This reminds me of that time Bob Dole fell off the platform of a pancake supper during his campaign for president. I'm not sure why (except for the pancake/old man connection).
