We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Imagine Kristen Wiig reading this in the voice of the Target Lady.
The sercert yoo can keep scurrs me!
haha
The green paper does not match the mood/tone/feel of the song/poem/ode. I would have gone with bleak white paper. Even yellow, while cliché, would not have distracted from the angst of the piece. But green paper? Come on, no self-respecting poet in despair would use green, although Kermit probably likes it :-)
Overall, a very interesting Find. I might take off a point for the past tense/present tense mix: "I never realized all you do" and I'll definitely take one more point for misspelling 'lose'
Translated from the Vulgate, this means:
I had no idea what weird, aberrant behaviour you were into. I wish you had kept your secret to yourself, it scares the hell out of me. I want your life to END, dude--no one this twisted should exist in the world.
I no longer think you are the "strong silent type" with fascinating depth of character to be discovered. You are a scary psychopath. I can hardly breathe till I get away from you.
I'm exhausted.
Looks to me like the obsession has not ended at all. "loose my breath" almost an error but perhaps sublime syntax.
This is a copy of the much-discussed 'terrorist note' ("I want your life to disappear and be lost in the world"!!) that was the cause of the writer's arrest and imprisonment in Erie, PA. The trial judge, fortunately enough for the writer, was a techno-metal-grunge fan back in her law school days. She recognized the words as the lyrics of an obscure song by an obscure group from Moline, IL, and released the grateful writer with an expunged record.
The case was a triumph of the trivia recall justice movement, and sparked the renaissance of obscure techno-metal-grunge music called "Molinism" (after its center of gravity, Moline).
The original of this note sold at a Sotheby's manuscripts auction for 6 figures two years ago. This is one of the 10 or so 'green paper' versions of the note that the perpetrator wrote out for fans at a reunion concert on the 10th anniversary of the trial.
...hmmm me thinks I'll fire up another Egg Nog with about 50% Captain Morgan - listen to the Police and reinterpret "Every Breath You Take" into another little love ditty for m'lady...
(What does "The Obession Hosendend" mean?)
I too am tired....
Whenever I loose an Obsession Hosended, I'm exhausted afterward. It's hard work!
I can't believe I once considered a career as an Obsession Hosended Wrangler. What was I thinking?
Green is my favorite colour. I am a green crayon (on the What Color Crayon Are You? quiz). So I was attracted to this find at once, mistaking it for something seasonal. I'm glad the season of this obsession has ended. Back to the colored lights!
P.S. I spelled it "colour" for Jonathan and Mona Lisa.
Bad Poetry. Again.
I loose my breath, too. I wish my pants were loose.
Wow... if yu read this the right way, it's more than creepy. Ok, so someone found out this secret about him, a really deep, haunting secret, and it scares him this person knows. So he kills them, or they die or go missing. So now no one but him knows, and he can loose the breath he was holding... but the secret doesn't go away. It's still eating him up inside. "I want your life; to disappear and be lost in the world." It's a wish, not a threat.
two absolute gems in one day!
Librarian, you are my new HERO!
that paper is so stimulating.
I'm tired too. But who wouldn't be after trying to decipher this dreck?
@ Coyote ... merci beaucoup!
Sometimes attempts to be deep should be kept to oneself...
Hell hath no awful poetry like a woman scorned.
I loose my breath
we spend our time dreaming about tunes
let me fish with baited breath
Joseph blew his nose with magazines.
To clarify,
I believe the second last line says,
"The obsession has ended."
I never realized all you do.
But
For all you do, this Bud's for you.
@ Yep ... ya think so???
