What He Is Capable... February 19, 2006 |
We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
This is my favourite find! I keep coming back to it when I need a smile!
aww this is so wonderful :)))
and it applies to everyone! i like it, nice work.

my fav find as well. i love this.
This reminds me of the You Are Beautiful project. <3 (If you like this, write your own slips of paper that say that or "You are beautiful" for other people to find!)
this has become one my favorites. i love it. and look at it when i just need some reaassurance.
I really like this note! I wonder if it was meant for a specific person, or for anyone to find...? Either way, it's a wonderful note to have found, and a great reminder that not all is bad! [I wish I could have found this... :( ]
Glad to know someone thinks so. :)
well this is my favorite so far because it such a great saying, and it was found on the day of my birthday, that year, nobody sung me happy birhtday or even ate my cake with me.
Happy Belated Birthday =)
I bet the cake was delicious
www.postsecret.com
it belongs here.
Yes, it is.
This reminds me of what a friend of mine told me: She went to the magazine section of a grocery store only to find that every single magazine was covered with a piece of paper that said, "You are *already* beautiful!" :)
I love this! It was found on my 18th birthday, and I can sympathize with hash because that was a miserable birthday. I spent it alone, and instead of wishing me a happy birthday, my dad told me it was the day I could finally move out of his house (but not to worry, I did move out and now, 4 years later, we are closer than ever). I would have liked to have seen this that day :)
That is so wonderful. I adore it. Gave me butterflies.
this note itself is beautiful
One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
I wonder who it was intended for...Who smiled as they wrote it down and whether its loss was mourned or just simply overlooked by the carrier.
It reminds me of a find I had a few years ago. I bought a new pair of jeans, and when I put them on the next morning there was a little piece of paper in the pocket which said "I love you". It freaked out a bit and I threw it away. I wish I hadn't!
Ooooh, I don't know.
that note is whats beautiful.
The instant I saw this, I recognized it.
Its part of a brush set for Photoshop. A long time ago, I used that and four other brushes (all the text ones) from the set in a wallpaper.

The text and paper shape is identical.
Sadly, I can't remember who did them. It’s really amazing that you found the image that someone scanned in and made a brush out of it. I wish I could find the person to show them this page!
A possible artist is Truly Sarah, but I can't tell because her site is down.
Her deviantart account is here: http://trulysarah.deviantart.com/
This is AMAZING. <3
Ever since ive seen this note ive been writing it everywhere (desks, tables, walls) in my classrooms. i hope i help someone with these words.
awww thats sweet and their right life is a beautiful thing
Wow, I want a note like this, it's so random and cute.
My life is beautiful.
I bookmarked this on my computer. It makes me happy.
i love it. there is a clothing brand that stitches "you are beautiful" on the inside waist of all its jeans. they make me happy every time i put them on.
This is so beautiful in its self.
agreed. so beautiful
I leave notes like this everywhere.
not today it isn't...
I have been truly moved to leave notes that say, "Your life is a crock of shit". Fair and balanced representation of the real world.
I hope whoever wrote this knows how amazing they are.
Lies. LIES!!!
Wow...
I'm the guy who originally found this--It's nice to know people have been as affected by the note as I was.
The note was real, written in ink--it wasn't anything photoshopy, Keitorin. Perhaps the artist you linked to created her brushset from this image after I posted it?
Anyway, it was found in the Franklin Terrace elevator of the VCU campus, which likely means that it was at one point part of a freshman art project. I gave the original to the girl I was dating at the time and she still has it on her wall. We still keep in touch, and the note was a good motto for us both through some rough times, both together and apart.
Call me a cynic, but I have to snort at this. It's so corny.
Did the person throw it away, knowing his/her own life was in no way beautiful?
I took the picture and made it my desktop on my computer. It made me smile. :)
oh my gosh, i love this, it cheers me up whenever i see it, like how it did today =]
So only one other person agrees that this is corny? I'm not a hardened cynic, and I see a lot of beauty in the world, but this made me want to hurl up my cannelloni.
Melanie,
Maybe if you didn't read the comments of everyone being mushy, you would not feel the way you do... Just step back for a moment, scroll back to the top, and read the note itself (in all it's pointed simplicity...) now tell me that you dont get it...
PS. I think it's your Cannelloni that wants to hurl from you...
I'm going through a tough time at the minute and this made me feel special for the first time in ages.
It's simplicity definitely erodes any corn.
I am going to make one of these and leave it somewhere.
...does this look like "beaveiful" to anyone else but me?
i love that people are leaving notes like this everywhere.
i want to live where you live.
do you all have beautiful lives?
Life, in general, is beautiful.
Has anyone seen the movie, "Life Is Beautiful"? AMAZING movie! It is a foreign (Italian) film, and is so beautiful. I think you guys would all love it!
yeah, i know someone said it already, but this was definitely on postsecret.com
exactly the same handwriting and everything...
weird?
This has saved my life. More than once
nobody in nowhere, i'm glad that your life was saved by this. It helps my faith that people are helped in simple ways. You are worth saving.
Alex, that movie made me cry.
That's a really nice find.
And yes, Wilfred, after a second look it does look like "beaveiful".
I want put simple notes like these in lockers at my school, yes/no?
its amazing how such a simple phrase can touch so many people in so many ways.
I absoultely love this. Frankly I would frame it.
Someone wrote me a mesaage like that once.
I want it.
I'm with the "cynics." Sorry, but... ugh.
