I Almost Feel... May 24, 2006 |
We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
I want to know more! you can't leave me in suspense like this!
That is just so awesome.
Yes please continue...
And then...
So living without furniture is better Fen Shui? She sound like a crack head... I don't understand why she didn't just rearrange the house, rather than chucking it all in one room...
Yes, because putting all the wall hangings and pictures into one room helps the Feng Shui soooo much...
Was there a huge acid party at the house?? None of this makes any sense.
Ok.. am I the only one needing to comment on the Circus part?
Wow, this is just wow. I hope you made her put your house to rights before you fired her. What a freak.
Tattoed Lucy, I'm with you.. I wanna hear about life in the circus with Maggie Keane!!
its probablyy that they moved all the wall stuff into one room for a huge party they probably had while you were away so none of it would get damaged. and the note is the drunken ramblings of someone?
I love that James told Michele to call him on Sat eve, is that Saturday evening or Friday night the eve of Saturday?
I thought circus people lived in brightly-painted caravans, or at least trailers, not houses. But then I like to think Puddleby on Marsh is a real place.
If I were you, Maggie, I would go through everything in that bedroom and make sure nothing's missing!
Whats on the back of this?
You can faintly makeout a drawing or scribbles of some sort.
All you did was fire her?! I would have at least thrown her stupid ass out a second- or third-story window.
Defenestrate Morons - IT'S THE LAW!
Now that is bizarre.
Every aspect of this story fascinates me.
Maggie, I know it's been over seven years but you MUST come back and explain!
This is what I get when I Google Maggie Keane circus!
http://jens.larson.googlepages.com/home
Is that you, Maggie Keane?
@B, well done on finding that! I'm pretty sure that's her, how many Maggie Keanes who once worked for the circus can there be? xD
They seem like really weird, wonderful people :)
I really want Maggie to come back and explain. So the female house sitter's name was James? And if Maggie Keane posted this, is Michele someone that lived with her at the time?
But, it's been over eight years. :[
oops, i mean almost eight
I'm thinking that Michele was the sitter, and James was someone she had over.
Maggie Keane came back and posted a new found in June 29, 2006
she didnt give any detail of this post...
anyway I wish she changed her house layout, if not bad feng shui could happen
She should've of added: "Why are you living with these clowns?"
If everyone would come to where joy is, it would get pretty freaking crowded and not be very joyous. I hope no note is ever written to me that begins "Dear Biff, why are you here?".
I wish there was more to this story, there are sooo many questions that need to be answered.
Wow, I had no idea my little note got so much attention. I should have been checking. Now I can't remember my password, so I'll have to start over, but I hope this comment posts. I'll try to answer everyone's question the best I can. Michelle was a young woman we hired through a friend to house-sit for us while we were away in our brightly colored (not really, kind of plain beige) trailer touring with one of several seasonal circuses we worked for. In the off season, we lived in a little house in Phoenix (still do). Yes, if you Google me you find the little family website my husband Jens put up. He was an acrobat, and I was an artist hired to paint the trucks of the show he was with (which is how we met). The whole story is on the website. Michelle simply shut the door to our son's room after she stuffed all our things into it and lived in the rest of the house with very sparse furnishings. A yoga mat was all, I think. James was one of many guys who were tomcatting around our house while she was here. We didn't know her very well at all, but apparently she even pissed off the people who referred her to us as well. We got a call from her years later out of the blue saying she was calling everyone she felt she had wronged to apologize. Part of a 12 step program I'm sure. I don't know if she ever found love and joy with James. My friends have speculated that he thought our house was twisted dark and sad because of the subject matter of some of my paintings. I did a bunch of spooky looking shots of a carousel horse head back in the '80s. Most people really like them, but I can see why someone would find them eerie. They're on the website as well. I think what's on the back of the note is "To Michelle" and the name James. I'll have to go looking for it (it's something I wouldn't throw away). I wish there was more to it than that, and I thank everybody for your interest. Like I said, I need to re-register I think to check the postings. We've retired from the circus, but have friends who are still in the business, one of whom brought this to my attention, (Thank you Sharon!)And thanks again for the interest!
Maggie Keane
