I think we can all agree that The Beatles were the best band to have ever lived! John Lennon was a genius and he is sorrily missed.

Here is a list of my favorite Beatles songs:
1. No Matter What*
2. Day After Day*
3. Baby Blue*
4. Name Of The Game*
5. Maybe Tomorrow*
6. Come And Get It*
7. Rock Of All Ages*
8. Carry On Til Tomorrow*
9. Midnight Caller*
10. We're For The Dark*
11. I'll Be The One*
12. Without You*
13. I'd Die Babe*
14. It's Over*
15. When I Say*
16. Penny Lane

* denotes songs actually by Badfinger

This is a reference to that great SNL skit wherein Eddie Murphy says he is "Clarence," the unknown Beatle. In the skit he puts forth that if you listen to some track of Sgt. Pepper backwards, John is heard to say "'Ey, Paul! Let's get rid of Clarence and steal all his good ideas"!

That either made it better for you all or ruined it.

Laura I believe he was being sarcastic. I don't think he's quite a Beatles fan at all is the truth.

How do you know he's not talking about Ringo? ;)

Yes. It could very well be Ringo. Just like the song/title they got from him; "Hard Days Night." Hilarious.

The Beatles created the band Badfinger and wrote most, if not all, of their songs for them. :)

This is a great find! I think the Beatles look emo.

I think the quote looks like it should be coming from Paul to George, though. Paul looks conspiratorial.

That half of the Beatles are gone before their time is very sad.

Was this really posted in 2002?

The speech looks like the person has tried to make it a bit cockney (and 'da' has no place there). In any case, in Liverpool they speak completely differently, probably would speak just as this phrase would be rendered in standard English.

Well, it's a pretty good attempt to render the way it would be said in Liverpool, in their uniquely thick and guttural lovely accent.

Least likely person to say this, however, would be George, most modest and down-to-earth and therefore least notorious of the Fab Four.

Motown in the USA
Most of their music was stolen from the black artists in the good ol' US of A.

I thought this was about Pete Best, the original drummer for the Beatles. They kicked him out after 2 years and never gave him an explanation...Was I the only one?

Erica is right. This is from Eddie Murphy's fifth beatle skit. Just saw it the other day...hilarious.
