We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
I used to leave notes and poems in books when i returned them to the library, hoping someone would find them and maybe like them. I'm still too shy to show anyone my poetry in person.

Sounds like therapy advice to a survivor of abuse...the handwriting is a little too well formed for a kid. Survivors of abuse, if not completely paranoid as a result, often have trouble picking up on danger signals; some are too trusting of strangers and others who take advantage of them. Boundaries--yes, very important.
people think I'm crazy when I say be careful who you trust, and a stranger can even be someone you have already met... but it is true. I think rossy is on to something.
