Hello Tacos
FOUND by Bryan in La Grande, Oregon
I found this on top of a trash can at TacoTime.
not just another mouth in the lipstick vogue
Cat: "Oh my, what big teeth you have!"

Sun: "The better to eat you with!"

Sweet sun! Its face reminds me of Bob the Dinosaur, a cartoon I used to read until the web site started charging money.

A cat with rabbit ears and sausage legs walks on water towards a (hydroponically grown) flower. Makes me want to eat cheap "Mexican" food. I bet you'll find the cat's missing whisker in your taco because cats never wear hairnets.

Hell yeah! Hellllooooooo TACOS!!!
(As long as the cat is not the one actually producing the tacos.)

Or maybe Tacos is the cat's name. A friend of mine has a cat with many names, one of which is Mexico. Another good one is Dumptruck.

Now that's just cute.
Somehow the sun reminds me of "bunnee" (older find), only that it doesn't have the evil streak "bunnee" does :)

Monkey in denial
at first this struck me as the toothy sun shouting "HELLO TACOS" at the cat. which would imply either that;
1, the cat's name is tacos
2, the sun can't tell the difference between a cat and a taco (and who hasn't made the mistake before?)
3, the sun likes Cat-Tacos, and sees the cat as tacos waiting to happen.

Then I thought, perhaps it is the cat saying Hello tacos. as in; "tacos here I come". tacos being the cats destination on this toothy-sunny day.

But no, upon actual thought the answer would be that the artist, over joyed with the obtaining of tacos has drawn a picture that represents his/her feelings of "Taco Time".
through artist's taco tinted glasses, the world is a place full of flowers, happy kitties, and a bight toothy sun.

This work is deeper and more meaningful then half of what you'd find in a modern art gallery.
the artist is a taco fueled genius says this humble simian observer.

Sweeet!

Bored but happy kid given some yellow sticky notes and a pen and told to shup up and draw something while the grownups are eating.

Somehow I can't imagine the picture would have come out the same if it hadn't been on sunny sunburst-yellow paper.

Hello tacos, my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.

Just me in my house
You might think it's a sad thing when at the end of the day all the unpurchased tacos are tossed carelessly into the trash can. In reality those tacos are met with a cheerful hello at the entrance to the can. Next day the sun will shine down upon the tacos, warming them so that they smell REALLY good. Then at night the scavenging alley cats visit the garbage can hoping for a bite or two.

It's a very positive thing for all involved.

I love this one!!! So bright, sunny, and cheerful. This is now one of my all-time faves, right up there with Bunnee.

The sun's eyes and teeth remind me of The Count from Sesame Street. I know he only has two fangs, but the resemblance is uncanny.
