One cold as fuck February night in Chicago in 1999, I went to my old apartment at Fullerton and Kedzie to watch the movie "Ran" with my friend and old roommate Kelli, who still lived there. Around 3 a.m. I stumbled out to my car, full of war-fatigue from the movie, and thinking all kinds of intense thoughts about the book I was working on about a Vietnam vet. A light snow had fallen. On my car's windshield, I found this note-- apparently a case of mistaken Toyota Camrys. Poor Mario-- catching blame when he was probably at work and not with this other girl. I thought it was a pretty amazing love note, though, really: amber, trying to be all full of bitterness and bile, but giving herself away with her sweet coda-- page me later.

it reminds me of when i lived in chgo and came across a guy on the street pounding on his girlfriend's door yelling "let me in you fucking bitch, i love you!" didn't stick around to see if she let him in.

This sort of thing is why I'm in no rush to get the paint-scrape on my Camry's door fixed. It's not pretty but it's distinctive.
Hey Davy Finder, I heard you on Talk of the Nation a few days ago. Thanks for starting this Found movement. It has brought me and my coworkers so much joy and entertainment, and I was thrilled to learn there are so many others out there who are intrigued by the glimpses into others' lives.
Jenny when it's "cold as fuck" that's a technical term for really really cold and you can most likely brush the snow off of something without it melting especially if you are wearing gloves.

I feel sorry for Mario, too. She probably murdered him when he innocently got home from work, and this note was the only evidence of why she killed him after she turned the gun on herself.
Nah. Mario didn't page Amber because she's off her meds again. I mean, they broke up ages ago because of her bipolar thing and Amber's still stalking him. I mean Mario wouldn't have gone out with her in the first place if he hadn't heard she had sex on the first date. Then Amber started following him everywhere and accusing him of cheating then asking him to page her, so he decided great lay or no, Amber just wasn't worth it.
Get a new car, Mario. In fact, change your name and move to a different town. Also change your social. Amber can easily find you using your social security number.
Doesnt this mean your old room mate Kelli could be the woman Mario is supposedly seeing?
And if this Amber girl is so sucipicious, why doesnt she learn his reg number for his car, I suppose it was dark, but then why was Amber walking around in the cold and dark? And couldnt she page him instead of writing a note on his car that he may or may not have seen?

aside to poooooop in your cheerios, (as if you'll ever read it) Like, did you happen to notice the like, Finder's Blurb up there? He Found the Find in 1999. I'm pretty sure pagers were still being widely used in 1999.
