Valentine
FOUND by Nadja Lazansky in Berkeley, California
I found this on the sidewalk a few days before Valentine's Day, 2005. I had a date, too, for the big day and this made me hopeful. Well, the guy was a dud, but I still have the card. Just one of those cosmic jokes, I guess.
collect in g the playing cards I find
well, it's no good for the royal I'm working on, but maybe I'll get a flush.

I like the Finder's blurb.. too bad the dude was a dud. The two of hearts seemed to be such a portent.

Nice to see you, Found. Happy Sunday!

FOUND! At Last! Whew! (wipes sweat). I thought you were gone for good. Hope the gremlins have all been rounded up. You scared me! I kept getting stuck in 2007 and wondering when I was.

Geek NOT in my mom's basement
This was found in Berkley, so the 2 of hearts referred to two people of the same gender. Nadja's problem was she assumed it meant a straight couple. Yes, pun intended. If you're going to bring up homosexual issues, you better have a pair, so to speak. OK, that's all I got.

See, the problem was, those aren't hearts, they're fish scales.

Oh, never mind. No one saw that found anyway. Stupid Internets glitches!

Welcome back, foundmagazine.com. Missed ya

If the guy was a dud, maybe this card came from the game "Mystery Date".

So good to see Found back from the Land of the Lost..

Any longer and I might have started under going withdrawal symptoms...

As for the Find: the card says two of Hearts, but it doesn't say two of what kind of hearts, does it? It could mean two baboon hearts or two Rhino hearts or two candy hearts...

Speaking of two hearts I must recommend everyone go see the movie "Seven Pounds", with Will Smith and Rosario Dawson. It's really good, imo. There is a connection between the movie and 'two hearts' but explaining would give the whole movie away.:)

It's two broken hearts. Or maybe that's just my pessimistic nature.

I wonder what the other side of the card looks like. Cute fuzzy kitties? Regular Bicycle playing card?

I think the two of hearts is the most romantic card in the deck. Consider the alternatives:

-- Joker. Fun for a while, but no thanks.
-- King of diamonds. Looks good on paper, but be careful what you wish for.
-- Jack of diamonds. Like the king, with an extra dose of boyishness. Next.

Oh, Found! Hallelujah! (The Jeff Buckley version, that is). So what went wrong with the site? I missed everything.

Anyway, this find.... Meh. I bet on the other side it's like a cute little Hamleys card design.

No comment on this find, just happy to have it back! (Hallelujah, the Leonard Cohen version).

Geeze.. I must also get on the Welcome Back bandwagon. I was Lost without Found!

Btw, Valentines and candies are out in the stores already. Maybe that's why the VD theme. Or maybe the found guys' movie about LOVE is finished and ready for the big screen?

I gathered a whole deck over the course of six months last year. There were always people playing cards outside in the city I lived in. My coworkers would always give me cards they found on the street, too.

I found a couple of different back designs, but the found deck is all the same.

The best one is the ace of hearts Boyfriend found for me. It doesn't match, but it's perfect.
