i feel like this picture would be much more appealing with a christmas tree in the background. p.s.- i didn;t capitalize my i's just to piss off all you crazy people out there constantly ripping on other people's comments, as if they are truely giving their petty responses their best effort. Are you a better person because of it?

My Great Aunt Viva.
Aunt Viva and her brother and sister grew up in an orphanage. They were not real orphans, but their parents had divorced and could not take care of them. Aunt Viva's brother ran off and lied about his age and joined the army. Aunt Viva's sister, who was the pretty one, was ransomed out by an evil weaththy aunt to be used as a servant. Aunt Viva remained at the orphanage and made herself useful in the laundry. After many years, the orphanage became a home for the mentally handicapped. Aunt Viva remained, living in a dorm room and doing the washing. After many many years, Aunt Viva met Uncle Bob, who had brought a friend's widow in to see a relative. The younger ladies who worked at the home gave Aunt Viva a wedding shower. She wore a new gold polyester dress and a white coursage. One of her gifts was a rake. It was the first time Aunt Viva would ever have a yard of her own to rake. Uncle Bob drove Aunt Viva 500 miles to see her long-lost sister, who had become my Grandmother. She brought her photo album. It contained many pictures just like this.
The end.

Three Witches in the garden in South Cackalackie

There's a pitchfork in there, too!! Whoo hoo! I love a shiny new pitchfork.

Three witches, that was my first thought, too- It looks like she's just been presented with a new flying rake or something. Those curtains...!

this is a golden rake award. a lot of small towns do it. people nominate the best gardens in town and then others come by and vote. the winner usually gets a rake spray painted gold, but looks like this old bird took the grand prize.
