We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
wow.
Wow is right. This reminds me of some things I've seen children draw in therapy sessions with a social worker or similar. The handwriting where it mentions "we call her the evil shrew, etc" seems like an adult's, however. Either way, this is a sad find. Poor family. :(
1. i live in pleasantville, which is so close to white plains
2. i love pablo neruda!
My guess is that she has two children, maybe 12 & 18, the younger one contributed the blue stuff, the older one the main text.
Well, heck, mom at least *looks* great.
it was probably done by a teenager, it doesn't look like a child's drawing.
Also notice the (unintentional?) Shakespeare reference. "Crocodile tears" comes from Othello (though it's true origin is older) - alligator tears are maybe just THAT MUCH faker.
is that a phone number in the top left corner??
This could have been written by my neice and/or nephew if they lived in NY and my sister had plastic surgery. Otherwise it's their life in a nutshell. :o( Some people should never breed.
I didn't know you could get shots to dissolve arm fat. Sign me up!
Yeah, Someone, it looks like a phone number. Wonder whose it is. (the whole number is visible when you magnify the pic.)
I assume that the other two people depicted in the picture are the drunk mom's two daughters.. I think the one who added the words in pencil also drew herself in pencil, while the other person had already done her part in shades of blue. I love the pic of the person (all swirly and convoluted) done in pencil. The one in blue is just so... sad. faceless.
And they wonder why kids have brutally killed their parents...
My heart breaks for whoever made this.
This is really awesome. I LOVE the observations. I know it's bad to stereotype, but I currently live on Long Island, and damn if I don't feel this way about a portion of the population there. Some people need to just get over their "beauty" issues, realize age happens, and just focus on the more important things, like loving their children.
I find it really interesting that there are at least two other drawings beneath the Westchester woman. The one in pencil is especially intriguing...what is that? A ghost? A seal?
Oh, and I have to add:
I do not believe this drawing was done by the "bitch"'s children at all. This SCREAMS retail-worker to me. Probably someone in food service or medical care who has dealt with one too many of the type -- self-centered and willing to cause a scene to get what she wants -- believe me, I've been there. *shudder*
Wow! This is a message from the future! A drawing Brittney Spears' children write in 5 years...
This is so sad and so beautiful at the same time. If only we could reach down and take the writer's pain away. God be with them.
my guess is that it was written by the woman's daughter. i say daughter because of the references to how bad a mother the woman is, and also the reference to the "alligator tears." it seems too personal, involved and emotional to have been written by anyone other than the woman's daughter.
I feel her pain. :(
I hate when my mom drinks.
I really love the drawing underneath. The swirly one.
This is with out a doubt composed by a daughter/daughters. Not a retail worker.
sad. i used to do that kind of shit too. hopefully it turned out good in the end for her like it did for me.
"Alligator tears"?
Yay, it's nice to see such an interesting find come from White Plains. This site has me picking up scraps of paper everywhere I go.
AHAHA.. somebody has issues.. But, I do think this is rather creative. Better then I could've done. How appropriate it was in a book of poems. It was waiting to be found..
