Not Feeling Too Secure
FOUND by Allison Gilley in Seattle, Washington
I found this on First Avenue. It was nighttime and raining (of course). I think it captures some underlying discontent, or restlessness, or pointlessness that is detectable in this city where everything seems new.

I like how the "M" in "Monte" is shadowed. This person has unusual handwriting: all caps with a triangular "A." The letter contains quite a bit of personal, introspective information ("I'm not feeling too secure...") that normally would be spoken about in person. Do these people see each other much?

I love how she casually slips in the fact that she is looking for a new job. It's like a child who knows that what they're about to say is going to upset their parents and they try to slip it in as quickly and unobtrusively as possible.

I love seeing notes like these, since many people hese days try and substitute beautiful written communication with a "txt msg".

I like this note quite a lot, and I'm fascinated by the all caps and triangular A's handwriting! I've always wanted to have such distinctive handwriting...

Roommates who still communicate by notes... reminds me of college :) They probably don't see each other much what with trying to pay rent and picking up random shifts and looking for new jobs.

Hope she found something good!
