We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
I honestly pine for the days when this was the height of FABULOUS!
It's interesting that this should come up right as they are closing the Stardust down to demolish it and build a new casino
the colour will blind you
but it is for your own good
I love the dresses and the sunglasses :)
I like this picture so much I use it for one of my blogs.
<3
These are the types of picture which are so great, you almost wish you could return them.
can't you just see them at the slot machines?
I think of the person who probably brought this precious photo to walmart to make a reprint and is missing it!
This makes me sad for some reason.
The woman in the pink and white dress looks like my grandmother would have at the time.
The Stardust was truned into dust just today... What a shame...
A couple of hot dollies out on the town in the menapause years really sums up the flavor of Vegas in the 1960's,it's kind of innocent in a way...Good for them for going!
I have GOT to get me one of those dresses! Fabulous!
Oh, honey: it's still the height of fabulous. Fabulous never dies.
Man, those chicas are fabulous!
Too bad the Stardust got torn down...
I bet these two gave the young lads by the pool at the Stardust all they could handle.
They're dudes !
Yusss!
I love this pic!! Wonderful! The person who lost it must be terribly sad.
LMFAO! it looks like my grandma and her friend...!!!
i love the white sunglasses!!!
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
That is one crazy picture. They probably made those dresses themselves!
I just got back from Vegas and all I can say is that I wish people still dressed up to go there.
Went to Vegas for the first time and was SO looking forward to seeing fabulous people like these gals, but everyone was in tshirts and khaki shorts, disappointing. But this brings back happy memories of my granny and her pal, Hester, who dressed up in black and white when they went to Reno to gamble.
Wow. This is the height of fabulous. Makes me remember when I wanted to be women like this....sniff
Hey look! It's the original Thelma and Louise!
The movie 'Casino' was based on this casino. from www.imdb.com-"While the movie begins by stating it is based upon a true story, it never names the actual casino involved. The Tangiers casino is fictional. The story is actually based upon the history of the Stardust casino, a fact well documented in the Vegas history books. Scorsese discreetly documents this fact via the soundtrack, in which the song "Stardust" is heard three different times."
This has got to be one of the best pics ever. Too fabulous!
I LOVE this! I bet they were best friends, out for a weekend away from it all...
I seriously want a copy of this.
"Lido de Paris"!
I think this might just be my favorite Find of all so far. It's perfect. I think this just has to go on a Found Tee Shirt.
I wasn't even alive during this era and I can almost feel it through this photo, what a great find. *save*
Cutest thing i've seen in a while. im definatly going to wear those glasses when im an old lady.
I don't think this photo could be more perfect if they had tried to make it perfect. I love it!! Stardust!
Wow odd picture to find, i find the weirdest things in wal-mart,people are crazy in newburgh, i find little messeges written by employees on the shelves, dope bags, etc everywhere
My mother wore dresses like these back in the sixties! I thought she was so glamorous.
Something that might not be known about this picture; these women are standing in front of a hotel called The Westward Ho. Seriously.
Hussies.
