Being Kicks
FOUND by L. in Chicago, Illinois
I found this on the platform of the State and Lake orange line train. It has given me a hearty laugh. Even more so are the strange captions printed on the notepaper.

by kicks I think they mean being just a booty call and then possibly becoming actual bf/gf

Ha, I had one of those notebooks when i was a kid, it's a girl power notebook with lots of little quotes in the corners. it was the only paper i had on a trip and i used it as a journal, still have it actually.

I thought 'Being Kicks' meant being friends... like you 'kick it' with someone? No? The only time I've ever heard it was on MTV Made where this girl was running for prom queen and she made a promotional video where everyone would say 'We're kicking it with Katie'. Okay random story, but I felt it was necessary for my explaination. :P

I agree Liv, I think being kicks just means kickin' it with someone, hanging out, whatever.

I had one of those notebooks too! It was indeed a Girl Power notebook. I remember in fifth grade I had written something in it, and was sharing it with my teacher, but she read too many pages and accidently got a glimpse of a personal diary entry about how I liked a boy in my class. Embarassing!

That's a bit confusing.. Isn't that two girls writing?? So.. I'm confused then. haha. I read it twice, but, either that guy has REALLY good hand writing, or.. they are bi?

They are definetly bi/lesbian because it's definetly girl handwriting talking about going out with another girl. Not to mention the Girl Power notebook.

I don't think it's two girls...the first writer talks about being her "b/f". Now, I'm pretty damn out of the loop with the kids these days ("being kicks" makes me think of tennis shoes), but I'm pretty sure b/f still means boyfriend. Some guys have girly handwriting.

I think that's the same person's hand writing.
