Looks like it was taken at the Santa Cruz Mystery Spot.
Or it could have been taken at The House of Mystery in Rogue River, OR- a pretty well known vortex. . .
Cosmos, SD. could be a possiblity
or the Wisconsin Dells Wonder Spot
I always thought this had to be The Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz? How many vortexes are there, anyhow? And is there any relationship between mustaches and unexplained phenomena?
Those men are actually clean-shaven. It's the vortex that makes them appear to be mustachioed.
...And it looks like the Oregon Vortex's House of Mystery.
Could be the House of Mystery in Apgar, MT right outside of Glacier Park...
Hi- this is the Mysery Spot in Wisconsin Dells I think.....
You are all certainly wrong... and I'm not telling where this took place... it's part of the mystery.
I'm positive I've seen this postcard before, which means the votes for Wisconsin Dells Mystery Spot have it.
there is also a mystery spot in northern michigan. i remembered being infinitely intruiged by the billboards when i was a kid. i had to know what it was and finally whined my parents into stopping. this post card conjures some fond memories.

this photo was taken at knotts berry farm in So. Ca..... I have one very similar...
Definitaley the Mystery Spot!
Why haven't I had the pleasure of going to any of these "mystery" spots??? Man, I never get to do the cool, mysterious stuff...
I grew up in San Diego, could very possibly be the "The Haunted Shack" at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Vista near Los Angeles,
Definitely not the Oregon Vortex. The angles are too severe.
That is at the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz. Ive been here my whole life, thats definetly the SPOT!
Miss Kelsey, I have also seen the infamous "mystery spot" in northern Mi. I wanted to see it badly for years. Finally, my parents stopped and I went in BY MYSELF. Apparently, they thought it was more cost effective this way. For what I can remember, I was sadly dissapointed. The set-up was definitely better than the pay-off :(
whats with all the talk of "mystery spots" cant these guys just be simply defying gravity?
All you Santa Cruz Mystery Spot afficionadoes have forgotten Confusion Hill, a ways north up 101 but very similar... that one is caused by a buried meteor, which alters the earth's gravity, according to the folks in the know. *smile*
hmmm i never knew there was something called the "mystery spot" or the "vortex spot" but u guys should check out gravity hill in cali. its pretty kool, the hill is going upwards and u put ur car on neutral thinking gravity will pull it down but instead it rolls up the hill! i tried it and it actually worked now its time for me to find a vortex! haha
Bespoke, there are several places dotting the US where, I guess you could say, natural optical illusions take place. A person can be standing normally, but to other people they appear slanted. Structures built on these little areas appear to have slanted walls, when in fact they are straight. I used to know what caused this to happen years ago, but I forgot. Every once in a while, they will air a show on TV about these places and seeing video of these illusions in action is quite kool. The more authentic ones (ones that are more famous and are not a hoax) tend to be toward the western part of the country. There are a few that are obviously fake that were set up by people copying the real sites to make a quick buck. I believe there is one in West Virginia like this. I don't know if they have places like this in the UK, but it might be worth looking up.
I remember confusion hill, cuz i've been there. simply put, they are just houses built sideways on a mountain or hill usually, it gives the illusion of sight and feel that you are walking sideways and that things roll/flow uphill.
I just read about the Wisconsin Dells Wonder Spot yesterday. I had never heard of the Vortex before. They said they were closing it down. They are building a highway right through it or something. Funny that I saw this pic today.
i have this same picture but of me! its from the mystery spot in michigan!
How about this idea? This 'mystery' spot is actually ALL of the spots you mentioned! Maybe there's a teleportation device (or a good ol' blackhole) in Santa Cruz, Wisconsin, Oregon, and Montana that brings you to this shack here.
Either case, it looks cool and I want to go!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystery_Spot
i've only been to the one in oregon- but i like the idea that all mystery spots lead to the same shack.
that totally looks like santa cruz, where i grew up, my mum used to take pictures of me doing stupid things are the mystery spot.
but you never know, there are like a million of those stupid places. and creepy shacks in the woods...
i love these places.
Or it could be from the "Confusion Hill" attraction at Idlewild (a small family theme park) in Ligoneer PA. It's part of their "Wild West" section and is supposed to be a remake of one of the real Confusion Hill's out west.
Deja Vu! I've definitely been there before. Like many others said, it's the Wonder Spot of the Wisconsin Dells, as well as others. All of you who've never tried it, go to your nearest "Geological Wonder Spot." It's insane!!!
My wife is from Santa Cruz and that very much looks like the Mystery Spot.
not the mystery spot in santa cruz! at first i thought so, but the layout of the cabin is slightly different (i was there a week ago)
How funny that so many of us had the same experience at the Mystery Spot in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The billboards were definitely better than the real thing!

This particular Confusion Hill apparently has a time machine that transports its visitors back to the early 1980s.
"Is Seeing Believing?"
There is also a mystery spot in Boone, NC. Ive never been there though.
Who cares exactly where it is, what we can tell for sure is that the house is not level and the guy in the window is just posed to look like he's standing in a normal way relative to the house and photographer
There are only 2 ACTUAL vortexs in the US. The one in Oregon, and the one in California. The rest are illusions of a different nature. But the slope of the board hes standing on and the window behind are not from the Oregon Vortex
The one in Boone, NC is called "Mystery Hill." It's right beside Tweetsie Railroad.
I hope I'm not ruining everything forever with this, but I believe this is a postcard from the St. Ignace, MI Mystery Spot. Here. http://www.capnwacky.com/reviews/mysteryspot.html
sorry.
there's one of these things at Idewild in PA, also. judging by the mullet...i'm gonna have to go with that one.
All your "science" be damned Joey Carol! Freaky Deaky stuff is going on here.
Just out of curiosity, are all mistery spots on the side of a hill?
By the way, I think that is in the UP!
it's definitely the santa cruz mystery spot.
Hey, you're all wrong...the poor guy is just coming back down to earth after climbing the walls!
weird
This is so obvious...
The first guy is super glued to the black mat and this picture is taken upside down. The guy in the window is also tied by his feet and hanging upside down... duh
thanks for the laugh pfunk237 i can't stop laughing. that was better than the mystery spot--- there they made me pull myself up on a bar and instead of staying underneath me my feet were pulled into the air as if I was going to form a "V" with my body. Mysterious indeed.
So, what all your comments imply is: theres actually a 'mystery spot' in EVERY state?! I'm crushed, I thought our tourist trap was unique...
KDS, I almost agree with you that it was near
Knotts Berry Farm in CA, but we spent many years going to Calico CA, and they have this there too.
this is the best picture
Vetta's right. Been there!
I think this was taken at the Tom Selleck Porn Mustache Hall-of-Fame during pledge week.
My vote is for the Dells!
There was a photo spot at OperyLand in Nashville TN identical to this.
I just took my urchin's to Michigan's Mystery Spot in St. Ignace when we walked the Mackinaw Bridge on Labor Day!!

In the early 1950’s, 3 surveyors named Clarence, Fred and McCray came from California to explore the Upper Peninsula. They stumbled across an area of land where their surveying equipment didn’t seem to work properly. For instance, no matter how many times they tried to level their tripod, through the use of a plum-bob or level, the plum-bob would always be drawn far to the east, even as the level was reading level. As they continued their research of this land, they noticed a constant feeling of being light-headed. Later, realizing their queasiness and problems with the surveying equipment only occurred in an area about 300 feet in diameter, they felt they had discovered a “Mystery Spot”.
looks like Idlewild Park to me !!!!!!
Your answer is here:

I have a similar picture of a friend of mine standing in the same spot. We were traveling through Oregon and stopped at a spot that claimed to be "Paul Bunyon's Cabin". It was great fun!
I find it so funny that people still beleive in 'vortexes'. These are just tourist spots that use tricks of the eye and angles to make one beleive they are defying gravity.
Sorry folks, but there are no such natural geological phenomenon that causes these. They are man made.
Regardless of where this is, it's called a Tilt Shack, there really is no magic involved and can be built anywhere... The trick is in the angles of the floor and the boards on the walls.
Reminds me of an attraction at Calico Ghost Town, CA visited once.
All of this time spent arguing over which "spot" this is and nobody mentions how super cool it was to see a Coke bottle roll UP a ramp!! Zowie!
Joey Carol... its the Mystery Hole in WV. Its not really any sort of mystery just optical illusion and taking advantage of perceived POV.
this is deinitly the cosmos in sd... i have this same picture
