We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
wow, a ready made gerhard richter! great find.
I love this...makes me think of handwoven rugs. Very sort of Southwestern feel to the pattern and colours. Ok, so I know it's an out-of-focus building. Looks like someone moved just as they were snapping the pic--tripped, or got bumped into, maybe?
This is the way I see when I take my glasses off...maybe that's why it's so comforting and familiar to me. And maybe that's why I know what it is.
I thought this might be a picture of a ship???? Sailing, bought when the image was taken, the roll of film had a glitch, or, it was overexposed???
Whatever the case, this is a fantastic FIND! I'd blow it up and hang it, too.
Also, what makes me think this is a ship on the water, is because you can see the mirrored image of ripples towards the bottom of the pic. Looks like the ocean.
Maybe...
Hey, another one of those Magic Eye Pictures. It you step back and stare at it long enough, it turns into a picture of a grandfather clock!
i thought i just didn't put on my glasses...
I see (no pun intended) that the nearsighted people are here today. I also thought this looked like not having my glasses on. (Did anyone else take their glasses off to look at it? Didn't it almost seem to be in better focus that way???)
Definately a work of art.
I think it looks like the Pearl Harbor Memorial, I have never been but I have saeen pics.
I can see why it was lying on the ground.
very surreal... i just finished my grad program in photography, and this totally looks like something one of my classmates or students would have done on purpose.
I think that is a photo of the walkway out to the old Saltair resort that was on the shores of the Great Salt Lake. They rebuilt the resort, but the new one isn't the same. Look at the vintage photos on this website and see what you think:

That IS on the water. Cool. I too am myopic, but I can't say it's reassuring to see things the way I "naturally" do. I like focus.
Sorry to be the Lone Dissenter (Hi-ho, Silver! Away!) but this picture made me nauseous - the jiggly out of focus image gave me motion sickness.
I can see why a painter might want to paint it. It's "nothing" but it's interesting, and I like the colors. If I were going to frame and hang it, I don't think I'd enlarge it. I'd keep it in its original state- something so cool about Polaroids, and if it were larger, some of the intrigue would be lost for me.
I love the photo. It would make a great painting.
I think it's an old warehouse and these are the loading docks on a rainy day. The parking lot is slick with water and there is a dense fog.
eh.
i agree, flargy.
Me, too. You're not alone Freon.
YAY!! A found close to home! =) I really like this! I actually think it looks likes a picture of a building here, but I'm not positive it is very captivating though!
And I have a cousin named Alina (hmmm is that you cousin?)
Blurry Polaroids are one of my favorite things in the world.
This reminds me of SaltAir ... Actually, the building doesn't resemble Saltair at all, but the image makes me think about the Great Salt Lake, or maybe Coney Island. It's got that hazy lazy quality of days past when life was a little slower and a little more fun.
Honestly, 454 divided by 2! Sheesh!
Wow!! I'm so impressed that you got to post your comment Robley!!
I believe this would make an amazing album cover. Maybe the band logo on the upper left and the album name on the lower right. I don't know, this kind of stuff can only be found.
Heh, Coney Island. Reminds me of "Sleep" by GY!BE.
"They don't sleep anymore on the beach..."
Reminds me of the Alamo, or Greece not that I've ever been to either. but I do love this one too.
Nah, just hurts my eyes.
It does look like a row of cabanas along a shore. But, I also agree with Flargy and Lars--meh. (and Night and Freonz, too)
Dudley sees a tall statue of the Virgin Mary on the right.
I see it too, Dudley.
This actually looks very similar to a Red House Painters album art.
"Paging Mr. Magoo. Mr.Magoo, you have a phone call at the front desk of The Early Morning Blurr Hotel. Mr. Magoo to the front desk, please."
Whatever peels your potato.
us utahns just love to be recognized i guess. i got all excited because i work a block away from where this was found.
to me it looks like that re-vamped building off of 400 South and 300 West? by pioneer park?
no?
no body said it had to be a place in utah i guess.
@John & Mona, I didn't take my glasses off to look at this, but I did slide 'em down my nose to look over the top of 'em. I know, it's not a good look for me - but I can't get used to the frigging bifocals.
It didn't look any more focused that way.
Bummer.
my eyes....AHHH, my eyes
It's a football.
I do agree with DUDLEY & JOHN- There is a tall, woman, in a flowing, white gown standing there. I'd say to the right of the pic, not the left, even though I know they're probably right!
Does anyone else see some type of white bird towards the right of the pic in the middle? I agree that it's some sort of building with water in front.
It also looks like there is a second, male, figure to the left, about the 3rd space over as well as the female figure on the right. Really though, I don't think either one are figures freaky results of the movements of the photographer.
Either that or ghosts of nice Mormon people who died at Saltair and want to go on dancing there, by the water, forever.
I see dead people! Two of them, one on the right and one an the left. And it looks like their glowing reflections are in the water at the bottom, but the reflections look upside-down.
@Reanie in Beanie;
Right you are!
It looks like a picture of the USS Arizona Memorial taken from a boat.
Definitely the Pearl Harbor memorial in Hawaii.
