This was lying face-up in the middle of the sidewalk in front of my neighborhood video store in San Rafael. It's written on a flap cut from a corrugated cardboard box. The use of "no" instead of "not" suggests the author may have English as a second language. What I especially like about it is how you can see that it started out as a simple declarative statement, then the author had a second thought, scribbled out the exclamation point, and added some advice to the end.

This reminds me of the cardboard signs panhandlers hold up. Was this perhaps a mighty philosophical panhandler?

San Rafael. Hmmm... Look at the logo in the lower right corner. Could this be from the notorious Zodiac killer that terrorized the Bay Area in the early 70's? It warms my heart to think he finally realized the error of his ways and just had to "walk on."
I noticed the zodiac logo too, haha. Good eye. But nonetheless, a very sound quote. I most enjoyed it.

Hm, was it silver screen? This gives me a little bit of hope for San Rafael. Maybe they aren't all close-minded drones..
