We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Creeps me out...
I've only just found this site, and the strangest thing is...I've seen this picture before. In art class we had an assignment that was to cut out a hundred pictures from various magazines to use as references for pictures. This photo is from an old National Geographic magazine, and I've had it hanging on my wall because I think it's so lovely. I used to wear outfits like that when I did ballet in first grade.
As soon as I saw this I recognized it, and got chills...
here is the full photograph (your girl is all the way on the right):

I too recognized these outfits, my daughter was in tap...every year we waited with trepidation to see what bizarre get-up the teacher would pick for the recital. One year I overheard two mothers talking and one said, "My daughter is SO disappointed. Every year she hopes she'll get to wear a tiara, and we always get this [flapping hand at girl's head decoration] wacky foo-foo thing!" So now you know the technical term for their headpieces.
Does anyone else find the comment to be sarcastic in the extreme?
you probably shouldnt put this in your wallet if you don't want to look like a creeper.
I think whoever taped it to the mirror in the ladies' bathroom was struggling with some issues stemming from her childhood.
The first thought to spring to my mind was that Alanis song, Perfect.. (I'm paraphrasing here, so don't flail me if I get the lyrics wrong.) .."be a good girl, try a little harder, that simply wasn't good enough.. to make us happy. We love you.. just the way you are... if you're perfect."
Not sure which is creepier... the photo, the caption or the fact that it was taped to a restroom mirror.
Seems like something you'd do to embarrass someone on their birthday
um...I think the PC term now is "midget"
Hmm...an interpretation of the word "perfect" I had not seen before....
Unless of course you mean "perfectly unhappy" or "perfectly grotesque." The outfit is grotesque, the unhappiness follows.
The little person is not to blame. Big people should not work out their unresolved issues on the defenseless little ones.
