We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Yeah! Well!......um....takes one to know one! *runs off crying*
You say that now...but be careful what you say!!!!
Of course, I'd suggest alternate structure, alternate punctuation:
I don't think I'd care, even if you died.
But part of the reason she hates me is my tendency to criticize.
Hormones, anyone?
"I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!"
Ah, the joys of puberty.
Somebody call the waaahmbulance...
ok, look at this positively (half full/half empty glass): he/she doesn't even think he/she would care if he/she died...so he/she is not 100% sure about this, there's a slim chance that he/she would care.
Or is there just a missing period that would change the sense we've been drawing? That is:
"I hate you! I don't even think. I'd care if you died!"
Either way, those tear stains are impressive.
@Librarian- those tearstains (if that's what they are) are HUGE.
@ghost, I'd be willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that a girl wrote that note.
@Librarian & Corey, IMO those aren't tear stains but just been-out-in-the-weather marks - the hallmark of a good find. If they are tear stains they were planned to go with the nice, runny, water-based felt-tip pen.
Ooo, aren't I the cynical one today? I'll just put on my Queen Bitch hat and go finish my coffee.
Dear ghost in the attic,
Nice name.
Spoken like a true drama queen!
Aaaaawwwww.. sounds like somene needs a hug! (((((Foundmagazine!!!))))
Yes, it's "eat shit and DIE" week at Foundmagazine. I think I might just send this one to someone today.
If this were a movie the recipient of that note would most likely die in the next scene. Good think this isn't a movie!
I definitely get a "drama-mama" vibe from this.
I always write my hate mail in teal text too.
so, fuckin' thanks. Or something. I write my hate mail in teal text, too. But I use a Sharpie, so the tears don't show.
I hate you too! I'd rather die than have you care about me!
Ah the teenage years. I know I wrote many a note like that about my father. I still do sometimes at 39.
My teenage daughter said that to her pre-teen sister last week. Same exact words....
.........yeah, but will you go out with me?
Let's not sugarcoat things, tell me how you really feel, doc.
tear stains, if that's what these are, are always done for effect. It's easy enough to avoid dripping your tears on the paper.
Can I borrow the Queen Bitch hat when you're done, Freonz?
Ghost in the attic, i'm not sure what you're getting at. (insert sarcasm when speaking these words aloud.)
It DOES seem like the Found guys need a hug. This find, coupled with the next one, and we seem to be on an emotional roller coaster of lurve today!!
Gee, that's a little harsh. The best thing for the recipient of this note to do is to stay away from psycho-author for awhile.
it is not teal it is a black marker with a blue base and when the ink gets wet the blue shows, probably the famous crayola black marker...
Is it just me, or have you not been around for a while, Jodababes? You always make me chuckle!
Sounds like a note from someone in love who has been hurt. Love and death are such intertwined themes.
It's like the world wrote a note to Flargy.
@Mona Lisa, here's the Queen Bitch hat. Wear it in good health. :o)
@Mer in Philpa, I may not have put it in writing but those thoughts went through my mind most of my life. I was wrong though; it did hurt of a little while. But not much.
thanks, Freonz. I think it complements my complexion, don't you?
You rook mah-velous, dalink.
Thank you so much, my dear freonz....
You just don't THINK you would? You don't KNOW? I somehow get the feeling that the feelings of hatred expressed here are just not passionate enough to make such a statement.
Woah- this Find looks a totally different color on my computer at home than it did at work! I wasn't agreeing with Kristina Rose's assessment of the marker ink until I got home and viewed this on a CRT monitor, as opposed to the LCD at work. (sorry I doubted you, Kristina Rose.. but now I see your point, and agree.)
I once saw a note that said,
"I hate you
I hate you
I hate you
Love,
Patrick"
The emotions are grand. I always wish I had saved it.
hmm...I'm not sure if I care if you die...so go die...and if I do care, I guess I might cry.
You obviously care enough to write it in a letter.
