We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
They should actually wait til they get to the bottom to celebrate, I bet they fell on their butt right after the picture was taken lol
Since he is near the top of a hill, instead of just finishing one, I hear "AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" instead of "Success!" Or maybe he is doing a stunt?
But then I am not a skier, so what do I know.
Aww pictures left in scanners...that always happens at my school. I love these finds.

Looks just like my yard today... woooohooo! It's not supposed to look like that here.
ditch the poles, buddy.
Skiing backwards up a hill isn't as easy as it looks.
I live near Portland, Oregon. That's how the Pacific Northwest looks right now. It's beautiful! We are all snowed in...Seattle, Portland, and all places in between. :o)
at baby basil...
COWABUNGA?? Wasn't that a saying from the 70's?
I'm thinkin' Ninja Turtles.
Are those skis or snowshoes? Snowshoeing would definitely make this a 'succes!'
(left my specs elsewhere, so can't see the picture clearly)
@ me in the snow amd ice: you be careful out there. Stay our of those buses.
My kids are making their way home to my neck of the woods and it's messy here, too.
(not saying where, tho)
This is the last know photo of Robert Keim, taken as he hurtled down the ski slopes left over from the Lake Placid olympics in upstate New York.
Flargy, did you forget the comma:
jesus, skis.
Which was my first thought when I saw this picture, since I had a horrible experience skis, a chair lift and a very steep slope with lots of snow.
jesus, skis!
Where are the rest of the Village People? Am I the Y or the M?
превед медвед!
@Treehugger: Not Ninja Turtles (which were mid 80's BTW) but Snoopy. It was a surfing joke.
You just know that they were making bird noises.
@ Treehugger and baby basil:
Actually it started back on the show Howdy Doody which ran from 1947 - 1960 and then was brought back to popularity by The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the 80's and then later by Bart Simpson in the 90's
Actually, "Drifting", it was a running joke in the Peanuts cartoons throughout the 70's. I was there. I also had the poster of Snoopy surfing hanging in my bedroom for many, many years. I believe it turned up in the Peanuts cartoon movies of the time, as well.
Actually "baby basil" it MAY have been in the Peanuts Cartoon but since Howdy Doody was around long before Peanuts technically they did not come up with the phrase and it couldn't have been a hug this on Peanuts as not only do I not remember it but I have searched website after website and only found ONE mention of it ever being on Peanuts but TONS of mentions being on Ninja Turtles, and Ninja Turtles are just better anyway :)
