We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
This is doubtless an early photograph showing two of the Pointer Sisters. The third one probably took the picture...
portant moment of self-discovery when he realized that viewing such material inevitably aroused him to the point where he could no longer disguise his huge er
Looks more like an out-take from an early version of Planet Of The Apes.
"MO....M, can I take off this stupid costume yet???!!!"
AHHH! Dropped hot coffee into my lap! This is very scary!! (Farmer, however, made me laugh really loud and I just scared the dog).
Those masks remind me of...something very unpleasant.
Mickey Mouse and Mini-Mickey Mouse (a.k.a. either Mini-Me or Minnie Mouse)
The Strangers Part II
Mickey frequently played instruments in the old days. Those of you who made this sexual (yuck) or scary are weird.
Is Minnie riding a hobby horse?
Creepy.
I'll have to go with creepy!
What's the story with the polka-dot thing in front of Minnie? Looks like an extra pair of legs or something?
The photograph color, the time period, the lack of smiles on the masks... Yes, it is creepy, scary, and wierdly sexual. A lot of themes have been put forth in scary movies. This photo combines several elements of these to make me want to run crying to a therapist.
I'm pretty sure the polka dot thing is a little pony. You can see the bridle across its nose. Not a hobby horse though (if by hobby horse you mean a stick horse?), you can just see part of a hind leg behind Minnie's leg.
This picture would be cute if not for the strangeness of those masks. (reminiscent of Pink Floyd's The Wall or something equally creepy but strangely forgettable)
So.. as of this posting, this Find is 26% scary and 38% creepy.
Funny how these masks give me the heebie jeebies, but I have no problem with this one:

@ Highplains- that's EXACTLY What i immediately thought of. The masks in that movie were so scary!
The first and only thing I thought of on viewing this find was how much those vintage Mickey/Minnie Mouse costumes would be worth today. Even worn, and with kid goo on them.
1. Reminds me of the Mickey Mouse gas masks of the 1950s (http://gorightly.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/micke
2. There were actually 5 Pointer sisters, but only three (performing) Pointer Sisters at a time.
Canned Poot in the Pantry's URL was truncated, but I really wanted to see the Mickey Mouse gas masks. Never heard of such a thing!
.."The mask was designed so children would carry it and wear it as part of a game. This would reduce the fear associated with wearing a gas mask and hopefully, improve their wear time and, hence, survivability."

(here's the actual url for that one. I wasn't confident that it was short enough to not suffer the fate of canned poot's.):

There's one on E-Bay UK for £45.00, and a couple other styles to be Found on the world wide web, but they're not the same as the one that comes the closest to resembling the masks in this Find.

Can you imagine?
Sell this to me! It's beautiful, and I must have it for my ever growing collection:
