We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Somebody's mommy's a vegan...
I think it's the worm inside the fish that's talking... after all, he (she?) was able to yell "Help!" Love the fishie dreaming of the worm dinner - but look where it landed him!
The second panel didn't make sense to me. I thought the two fish were being baked in an oven, thinking "Things could be worse," which doesn't make sense. But I think the first fish has been cooked and is on a plate (but why are things dark?). Then, the 2 fish are in a fish bowl, making the best of things?
The End doesn't usually occur on the left.
The two fish on the right are BAIT- see it written on the tag?
I love this, very cute.
Guess you are right.. I, at first, thought those 2 fish were in a bowl, but now that you mention then being in a stove, it totally looks like that! This human must be very hungry. Either that, or he has a too small oven to cook all the fish at once..But 3 pieces of big fish, do you really need to eat all of that? How about lesson your intake and not fill up on fish, but add in some vegetables.. hmmmm
also, it looks like the fish on the top, farthest to the right, may be daydreaming of being cooked in a TV/Microwave? who knows.. this drawing really makes you think about life.. hahah! j/k
I don't think this is the work of a child. What little kid uses the word "menacing"?
That poor fisherman has a very small pole.
The fish on the far right, with the day dreaming bubble... not sure what is in the bubble. The fish has a very big smile on its face, so is it a place it would like to human to be in?
Fish are friends, not food.
Things could always be worse...
Sammy Davis JR Jr, I think the fish is dreaming of a nice pan-seared wormie with red wine reduction.
@Terrie: not only are they friends, they are "sea kittens" and this find illustrates how sentient and lovable our friends the sea-kittens are.

Ah, but Gentle, I would most certainly have used the word "menacing" as a child...
The worm-hungry fish was not so bright...
It was snatched away into the night.
The worm still lived but the fish was dead...
The things it risked for getting fed!
His boat's going to sink: there's a large V-shaped opening at the back! (aft? in the aft? at the aft? back there.)
WTF with those PETA sea kittens?!
Holy Smokes... The fish on the right is daydreaming abouut the worm, cooked on a plate as dinner.
The talking dead fish is actually the worm talking, and the other 2 fish were caught and saved for bait, which is why they are saying "it could be worse". It's showing the ending of all 3 fish (except the one who said it looked menacing.... presumaly he had the sense to get away).
he's going to wash that fish down with a glass of bait? is that exotic or just classless?
Sarah in Chi Town, you're very perceptive.
Gentle in the Cradle of the Chzercemit, believe it or not, the Kinsey Report said that that's the average length of a man's fishing pole.
All I have to say is to:Fish in G..
Sea Kittens is about the cutest word I've ever heard.. Also, the actual cartoon sea kittens are just beautiful.. mmm *drools* Would be even more beautiful with some brocolli..
Just kidding, I'd never really eat a sea kitten, but I might lick its face!! teehee
*runs off*
That fish isn't on a plate, it's a view of the fish bowl from the top looking in. I think the one about to take the hook really does want to help - and also wants to find a new home in a fish bowl!
Give me back that Filet o Fish -
Give me that Fish...
I think the two little fish in the bottom half of the drawing are actually BETA fish... :) Even tho they only have a cup of water to swim in, they're sayin' "It could be worse." LOL
Clearly, the fish at the top right is thinking of frying up a single slice of bacon. I'm not sure how a fish knows of cooking utensils or pork, but there we are.
