Easter Egg ... March 23, 2008 |
We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
I like that that the postcard has instructions on it.
I hope it is not a meeting for an engagement.
Sounds like part of a game...
Oh, goody--cloak and dagger stuff! At least I hope it's spytime. If it's a romantic assignation, take my advice, Tiernan, and don't go. In the first place, the language is far too stiff. In the second...never be with a person who signs themselves "III" because obviously, for them, it's all about mememe.
ut he soon discovered that the field had no five yard line; that between the 10-yard line and the goal line there was just nothi
ooh..its a duel....
Isle of Train? Is that near Isle of Wight?
Notice that the postcard asks for a penny of postage--must be an antique.
the postcard seems to be antique, but the note seems more modern
Stand on the 5 yard line to proceed is this like a postcard version of "Mother May I?" game???
I'm with Grab Bag and Mona Lisa - Was it a coal driven steam engine this was found on ???
This Found is a flop since they didn't scan and send the other side...
On the other hand if Found is being used as communication vehicle for dark transactions of some kind that would be cool.
I hope Tiernan brought along some sunglasses from when all the stadium lights were flicked on simultaneously by III...
The penny postcard does look antique. I get a scavenger hunt or possibly fraternity ritual vibe going on.
Never heard the name Tiernan - is that a guy name, girl name, or both?
I'm with Miss Scarlet, it definetly sounds like some sort of frat initiation ritual.
I don't think I'd do it. Ever see Dirty Harry?
Tiernan is originally a surname, and may be used as a first name as per the custom of giving a boy his mother's maiden name as a first name. Usually practiced by old money families.
These days, anything goes. Tiernan could probably be a girl's name too, given the female Mackenzies, Campbells, Comptons and Reilleys out there.
Tiernan had heard that III was selling soda. Since the school board had rejected his convincing "bring the soda back" letter regarding mourning, he sent a confirmation and III sent instructions for picking it up.
III could be a fraternal organization. it's so terse it would probably be that frat thing of an old fashioned gang fight. but the antique postcard does make for a good theme to a scavenger hunt.
i got it; skull and bones.
Reminds me of the movie with Michael Douglas, "the Game"
Don't you mean the Aisle of Wight?
@ a in 't
I've heard of not giving on IOTA but 3?
I automatically thought about how they wanted this person to be at the field, on a certain spot, late at night so they could get drenched by sprinklers!!! SPRINKLERS!!!!
