Kill the Cat
FOUND by Sierra in Portland, Oregon
I found this at a park in Hillsdale. Apparently they don't like their cat.
Jan in the kitchen wondering where the cleaver went
I think the finder got it backwards.

yeah, looks like the cat wants to kill them. Love the red wash on the photo.

By the looks of things, they already took off part of her foot, the one with the white paw.

Words cannot describe what came to my mind when I opened this. I am swinging back and forth from laughing hysterically to horror. I see an Agatha Christie mystery in there somewhere...

What's with all the "CAT" FINDS, lately??

BTW, this kitty doesn't look like a killer cat!

Okay. This cat looks like a ghost, somewhere east of the Rockies ! LOL !

The quality of photo reminds me of double exposure with the type of cameras which were popular in the late 1960s.

@Julse, I'm with you. The first thing I thought of when I opened this page was "book cover". One of those books with the words "psychological thriller" somewhere in the blurb (not to mention psycho-killer), and the review "Gripping...non-stop tension...a wild ride from cover to cover!"--New York Times
along the bottom.

It also reminds me of my mother's response when anyone would ask "What's for dinner?" "Kitty fritters!"

Oh, cool--easy spam q!

Kitty looks like it wants to pounce on that piece of paper being waved in front of it. It looks like a big fluffy black-and-white tuxedo cat. He would probably be nice to cuddle- if he weren't in full hunting mode.

Laura, the girl in glasses
Maybe the cat peed on the laundry.

I like the fuzzed-out tail. Def. in hunt mode.

ps Spam question 28 times 15. WTF??? Now I need a calculator or maybe a piece of scrap paper

uh, Beth? You're not referring to the meat cleaver as a "piece of paper" are you? Although it could give you a wicked "paper" cut!

When we had a cat (for about 3 minutes) I often felt this way. Usually after she had peed on the bed.

Kitty has a choice. He can either do 10 back flips in a row and walk away with 1 ton of catnip, or have a kitty pinky chopped off...(sorry, this was based on a movie I saw a long time ago).

Hmm...Looks like a church cat to me. Looks like a churchy type stained glass window in the back. It could be that kitty has caught a church mouse and for his reward, they are going to chop it up into little bits and pieces and put it in with his kibble. Kitty's just anxiously, yet patiently waiting in suspense for the first choppity chop to fall. He's standing ready in case the mouse gets away from the chef.

What confuses me is that whoever is stalking the cat with a butcher knife is the same person who took the picture. Why would you bring the camera with you? Why would you pause right before the big kill to snap a quick photo? Oh, wait, I think I just answered my own questions. I watch too much Law and Order...

Maybe this approach would work for my cat... He doesn't pee anywhere he shouldn't, but I do catch him quite frequently trying to make sweet, sweet love to various inanimate objects.

The cat is loved and wanted because he is wearing a collar and looks relaxed. Interesting that someone has to be holding the knife over to the side for the photo to be taken, because it couldn't hang at that angle on its own. The little carpet ledge he is standing on almost looks like something made especially for the cat to sit on. Wierd...
I was just in Portland yesterday eating at Chipotle with a friend.

I have a Post Secret question, too. I've noticed that sometimes people respond to a secret, usually a word of encouragement. How do you do that? I tried today and can't find where you can write and send.

This has been a weird week of coincidence. I just this morning picked up my neighbor's dead cat off the road so they wouldn't have to see it.
Thanks Basil, I wondered that too. Last week I felt really bad for the post secret teacher's wife who nobody rsvp'd for his party, I wanted to comment.

That is definately not paper. Definately a meat cleaver. The red wash is the remnants of blood that was spattered all over the polaraid after it had developed. The cat tried its best to clean the evidence by licking it clean... That is perhaps the coolest cat of all time.

I didn't know what to think when I saw this find...maybe someone trying to post a funny cat picture on the internet but only after they took did they realize how demented it looked? Who knows, I've seen stranger.

Regarding Julse's comment, I wouldn't have thought that until I looked at it again....poor kitty.

stalker in cognito, to hide from my clients.
The meat cleaver is hung by a string that is threaded through a small metal ring attached to the back of the wood. Kitty is holding the other end of the string. When small children attempt to touch Kitty, the cleaver will drop and little fingers will be severed. Kids, leave Kitty alone. Kitty does not like children.

Stalker, that was the best theory yet. But...clients? People actually pay you to stalk them? On second thought, maybe it's not such a crazy idea. If dominatrices and dentists can make a living, why not paid stalkers?

I agree with what most people said, the finder got this backwards.
I shuttered slightly from looking at the cat and the red wash doesn't help. Demonic.

Once, my friend took a picture of my husband and i at his birthday, and i was in the process of cutting cake for him. But when she snapped the picture, the blade of the knife turned red (I assume from the reflection of the red table cloth) and it looked like i was trying to stab him. and no... I was not trying to stab him. LOL

This must be one of the cats who showed up so often on the schedule shown in the previous day's find (http://www.foundmagazine.com/find/1121). This cat sent this photo to the schedule-maker to let her know what would happen if he and his feline companions didn't get three feedings and 20 minutes of play time during the day!
