We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
This reminds me of the song devil went down to Georgia
Ha! I thought the same thing! I guess this is what Johnny has been doing with that golden fiddle all these years.
Is it just me or does the chemical spill...make an outline of homer simpson?
Does his hat say something about "Jack Shit"?
I says, I know jack shit. I think I know him as well.
I love the intense look on the little boy's face - as if he wants to memorize everything his pa's fingers do.
The kid looks like he is staring at the chemical spill...lol. In truth though, I love the color and composition of the find. The chemicals only enhance the picture and the kids expression is priceless. Truly some sweet art.
I think the kid wants the JS grandpa to stop...or Homer Simpson to go away. But who would ever want Homer to leave?!
"sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it HOT"
to me it looks like a skull-face in the "chemical spill" under Grampaw's chin.
That poor little kid does seem pretty freaked out.
I've found that Beloit is such a great place to find stuff. I'm moving in with friends in Beloit after Christmas this year. Anything we find, goes on the wall.
I love the idea of things as personal as this being utterly forgotten in an abondoned house somewhere, and yet, standing the test of time.
