What to Expect
FOUND by Mark F. in Vancouver, British Columbia
Found outside a store the day before New Year's. I wonder, was the person referring to their upcoming shopping experience, the eminent new year, or something else equally worrisome? Whichever, I hope their expectations were met.

Could have been referring to a "What to Expect" book. What to Expect When You're Expecting, What to Expect in the First Year, What to Expect in the Toddler Years.

I just hope that she wasn't referring to the pregnancy book "What To Expect When You're Expecting." That would be a bad scene.

Maybe the list-writer wanted to pick up the prenatal guide What to Expect When You're Expecting?

As an aside, what's with the little bit in the top left that's covered? Personal info?

Yeah, huh. I bet the writer wants the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting"
also, the top coverd bit is probably a number or address.

What did I expect?
A LOT less redundancy in the comments, folks!

Buttercup-
If it makes you feel any better, I thought perhaps it was a personal euphemism for an at-home pregnancy test. So i guess that's slightly less redundant. Slightly. ; )

No i think you guys have it all wrong, she is buying hair dye, teeth whitener and lotion and it was found on New Years Eve... The "what to expect?" is just a note to herself about what the night is going to bring. I do that all the time. Just writing down random thoughts, especially when I am excited about something.

maybe she's wondering what to expect from those white strips...

I don't think its the expecting book. She wouldn't buy hair dye if she was knocked up unless she was REALLY clueless. In which case, she probably should buy the book.

Perhaps she was going to buy the book and check to see when she could dye her hair? You can dye your hair after a certian amount of time, I think.

Why does she HAVE to be pregnant? My first inclination was the New Boyfriend expectation... New Years Resolution type of thing.

Well mmy guess is she was dolling up for a hot night. Puffs tissues, Natural instincts hair color, white strips for her teeth, and definetly what to expect when you are expecting....just in case she slips up and forgets to put Trojans on her list, which apparently she did!

No-one has commented on "Nat. Instincts?" Points towards pregnancy, I think, which is kind of boring.

Maybe she's researching for something health-related in uni, that's more exciting than, "Oh, she's pregnant" I guess.

May it WAS the knocked up book, but, just maybe ... dun dunna nuh... it was a gift for someone else!!

When I first read this I thought maybe it was someone planning to have sex for the first time. You know, "dolling up" and wondering about whether she'll know what to do "nat. instincts" and not knowing what to expect?

Clearly, shopping for a hopeful encounter. Not someone who has already asked her out, otherwise she wouldn't be fretting about whether to dye her hair and the state of her teeth. Interesting that only we females are commenting on this note.

notice both the nat. instincts and the what to expect have question marks...maybe she's going to buy the hair color IF the book says it's ok...by the way, you CAN color your hair late in pregnancy.

Ha, she should know that Puffs tissues already have lotion in them.
