I Better Go Mow

I was cleaning out an old wooden teacher desk for reuse. Very heavy, all wood. It’s really cool, with a rounded top, 1940 style brass pulls, and a heavy file drawer. I pulled out the drawer to clean underneath, and a very dusty plastic baggy was lodged under it. This folded note was inside. It was the only thing in this large Ziploc baggy, which was much too large to hold just this one folded note. Were other things inside the baggy at one time? Or was someone expecting more notes? Why would anyone save such a note? So many unsolved mysteries. What’s the deal with the forgotten skirt? Pineapple upside down cake in 1987? Rain falling on leafs at night does not make most Oregonians freak out. Anyway, I better go mow.

Enexelent Finder’s Blurb, lovely Clover! I hadn’t noticed the date, but figured it had to be from “back in the day” because nobody has handwriting like this anymore.

And every bit of it true, Chromey! Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I’ve been so busy lolling in the grass lately….

I don’t understand what’s so surprising about pineapple upside down cake “in 1987.” 1887, maybe.

This person now weighs 400lbs and takes Xanax for fear of rain drops on leaves at night.
