No Pulling on Kids

FOUND by Lost in Nebraska on a sidewalk a few blocks from a pool

I was in the midst of some enjoyable yard work at a relative’s house and came across this note on the sidewalk.

There is a pool a few blocks away, so I thought a supervisor was having issues with employees, and perhaps these were notes for a meeting. The “no kids in the kitchen” line also hints that this could have been someone in charge of a daycare or summer program.

I can understand charging for bottled water, but how do you charge for an outlet? Put a locked, coin-operated cover on it? I’m told that some people in the US go around plugging phone chargers etc into sockets in public places…don’t know how that works! Where I live there are no open outlets in plain sight in public buildings.

What? No – “NO RUNNING AROUND THE POOL!!!” ??

Why do we get an attitude when told what to do? Will get nags for cleaning. Discussed nags.

America is free! That’s how. The fabled land of plenty. Streets of gold. All that. (well, and tons of debt, income inequity, political gridlock … stuff like that, too)

Public libraries? Free. (well, as long as enough people pay taxes to local governments)

Basic education? Free. (okay, so the results aren’t always very good, but still…)

I’m working myself into a hole here, aren’t I? Maybe I don’t know how it is we have electrical outlets in public places either.

What really intrigues me is “No O. T.” You can’t read the Old Testament at the pool?
