Dr. Master Fire Bender

FOUND by Tony in Arcadia National Park, Arcadia, Maine

I was exhausted from driving all night from Vermont to Maine to get in line to, hopefully, nab a campsite. Hadn’t brought and firewood as I wanted to try to get a place to rest my weary bones first. I did secure a site and put up my tent, which took longer than usual because of my tiredness. As I was getting ready to head out and buy firewood, I look on the picnic table and see this note. It made me laugh and warmed me. I want to send out a big thank you to the person who left this note and the wood.

Love the note! It has long been the custom of me and my camping friends to leave the leftover firewood for the next camper. Never thought to leave a note of such awesome, though. As a proud Mainer, I do need to point out that there is no “Arcadia” National Park. Nor does Arcadia, Maine exist. There is an Acadia (no “r”) National Park in Bar Harbor, ME, which is where I believe our intrepid outdoorsman found this note.

Lends a whole new meaning to the phrase “getting wood”. (Snicker, snicker!)

I hope that Dr. Master Firebender left the wood and the artistic note with the specific goal of getting onto Found Magazine.. that way we can all be sure that Dr. Master WILL see this public Thank You.

The note was meant to be used as kindling.
