Leaving a subway station on evening, I was drawn to this find on the staircase. The penmanship outshines the spelling, but Doris is happy and that’s all that matters.

    But I’m thinking that sometime on Friday afternoon at the mall, Doris is thinking she will get the engagement ring from Jerry. She wants him to go from “Jerry” to “Jerry + Doris”.

    The only hitch in the scheme is that she was promised to Chris for his (or her?) birthday.
