I found this near the bus stop of an elementary school.

I was walking to lunch and found this note laying on the sidewalk. Not sure if the author is in jail and wanting commissary goodies, or wants the missus to just pick him (her?) up some goodies at Wal-Mart. Is he sorry for getting arrested? For being broke? Some unspoken transgression?
FOUND by Derrick Nelson in the Reading Room of the New York Public Library, Manhattan, New York City, New York
Found this casually discarded by itself on top of a bookshelf in the main reading room of the New York Public Library (the Stephen A. Schwarzman building to be specific). I am torn between thinking it’s sad that a mom couldn’t say this in person to her kids, it sounds like she abandoned them, and what kind of mom uses the formal expression, “thank you in advance for your understanding”? At the same time I think how cool it must be to have a mom that leaves you secret messages hidden throughout NYC.
FOUND by Sarah Browning in Azusa, California
Found this stapled to a telephone pole outside a Starbucks. I rarely see missing dog posters here so I stopped to read it. First, the ‘ascending’ dog caught my attention, then the realization Joey would never be found. Made me sad and happy all at the same time.
