Walking into the gym, I passed this artwork laying in the gutter. Thinking maybe someone lost it, I left it there and continued on to my late-day workout. I left the gym and was surprised to see this unusual crayon drawing still in the gutter, unclaimed.

I found this note in a little wooden box I bought at a flea market. It broke my heart because it looks like Katherine was crying while she wrote this– there are little tear stains on the paper. It also looks like this letter was read many, many times. The paper is torn like a map you fold and unfold too many times.
